This is Everett Berry and he will be our guest speaker for the fifth Sunday of May and he will be representing Mission dignity! Mission dignity is a ministry that takes care of destitute retired pastors, and retired widows of pastors.  a love offering will be taken up Mission dignity, followed by a potluck dinner.

Lonnie and Arlene Higgins are a couple from Iowa who just spent at least a couple of months with us at new Hope Baptist Church. They have been living on the road in their motorhome together for years and they also spent a few months with us three years ago. On Friday Lonnie went home to heaven to be with Jesus tragically and unexpectedly while scuba diving off of Key West. His wife Arlene, as well as Lonnie’s body will be flying home to Sioux City Iowa on Friday where he will be laid to rest. Please pray for Arlene. There are three children. They’re 10 grandchildren and their three great grandchildren. Arlene’s entire world has just been suddenly turned completely upside down. Pray for her as she grieves. Pray that the Lord comforts this family.

Update on 8 year old Noah, he received 4 screws in his spine and they had to cut an inch off of his intestine. He’ll be on a feeding tube for three or four days.
