Jo called last week to talk about her mom’s water damaged floors in her mom’s mobile home.
After living out of state, she decided to move in with her mom to help her with her in home care, and while being an experienced in home care provider, she knew she could not help her mom with the floors in the condition they were, so Solid Rock came along side her to repair the damage, and place new flooring down, so Jo and her mom have no worries about falling through the floors.
Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 (ESV) talks about helping each other so we don’t fall down:
"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up."
Are you lifting people up?

She called last week, but she couldn’t speak.
After a few emails, I understood. She had lost her voice due to a Total laryngectomy. She was simply asking for someone to come over and replace a mirror that had fallen off the wall in her bathroom, one she needed replaced, as that is where she cleaned her tracheostomy.
True Reflections stepped up and offered and new mirror and adhesive, of which we at Solid Rock installed for her.
In Proverbs 31:8-9, the Bible references speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves : "Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy."

Are you speaking up?

The phone calls started coming in at 8:30 in the evening on January 23rd. After a cold snap, 3 older ladies, all living alone, called and said the same thing: my water just stopped working. We at Solid Rock went to work, removing mobile home skirting, replacing broken heat tape, and restoring what we all take for granted, not realizing how quickly it can become an issue when you don’t have it. From cleaning, to cooking, and drinking, water is part of our everyday life.
Jesus speaks about giving "living water" that satisfies thirst forever in John 4, during His conversation with the Samaritan woman at the well.
A key passage is John 4:13–14:
Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
Later, Jesus makes a similar declaration in John 7:37–38:
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”
Are you drinking enough water?

We would love to invite you to a special evening hosted by Solid Rock Ministries—a night to come together, share a meal, and celebrate our 18th year, and the impact that has been made possible through your support.

This dinner is our way of saying thank you to the volunteers, donors, and community members who have helped us continue our mission of keeping people’s homes safe, secure, and sanitary. Whether you’ve served, given, or simply supported us along the way, you are an important part of this work.

Throughout the evening, we’ll share stories of lives impacted, highlight what God has been doing through the ministry, and look ahead to where we feel called to go next. There will also be an opportunity to support the ministry through a free will offering, though there is no obligation—your presence alone means a great deal to us.

Event Details:
Date: May 21, 2026
Time: 6:00pm-7:30pm
Location: Family Church Redwood Campus, 10717 Adams Street, Holland MI 49423

To help us prepare and ensure we have enough food and seating, we kindly ask that you RSVP by April 30th, 2026 by email to [email protected], or phone at 616-748-6071.

We hope you’ll join us for an evening of connection, gratitude, and shared purpose. Thank you again for being part of Solid Rock Ministries—we truly could not do this without you.

Warmly,
