Good evening friends. As I was reflecting on a few things program related this week and looking ahead to next year(there is always planning to be done!) it was brought to my attention that Dr. Brian Parkhurst passed away unexpectedly on Sunday June 14. The boys know Brian as the bird guy! Brian brought Roja the red shoulder hawk and Kestra the Kestrel into church this past year and spent time talking with them about the birds and their importance.

Brian was a friend, teacher and an encourager for me. I saw him last week Thursday and of the 15 Kestrel boxes that we built we definitely have 1 that has Kestrels in it!

Please be in prayer for the Parkhurst family, and all who are associated with Falconshire Raptors as this will be a difficult time.

This week the Dusty Disciples closed their second chapter of service work. This year we worked with Falconshire Raptors and Ottawa County Parks & Rec to build Kestrel boxes. 2 of these boxes were placed in the Upper Macatawa Natural Area park. These boxes were made by Dean and Elliot. There will be cameras on both boxes and when we get the link to the feeds we will share those with you. Hopefully this work will be the start of a new habitat for Kestrels. If you are interested in Kestrel boxes or hosting a box please reach out.

Happy Friday friends! Next week WednesdayMarch 11 is our derby for the boys! Family is encouraged to attend and cheer for the racers!
Sunday March 15 is the fundraiser! Everyone can come and race the boys! We still have a few slots open on our food sign up.

Hello all, I apologize for not posting in a while. We have had a busy period with Falconshire Raptors
https://falconshireraptors.org/ coming in showing us Roja and Kestra. We also have been busy building Kestral boxes that will be put up in Ottawa county parks. We will let you know where they go so you can visit them!

Pinewood derby is quickly approaching. Workshop is open this Saturday February 14 from 9:30-11:30. And March 7 and March 14.

Wednesday night derby is March 11, March 15 is our 1 and only fundraiser we do a meal and a derby with the congregation. Please join us. We do ask if you are able to sign up to bring, chips, a side or a desert. Link for that is below.

We had a great night learning about hawks, owls and falcons! Thank you to Falconshire Raptors for showing us Rojah the Red Shoulder Hawk, and Maisie and Dragon.
