Our children are invited to participate in a special time for children during our worship services. Kids for Christ is provided for children age 4 through 2nd grade following the Children's Time during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. This time of learning focuses on worship and praising God through stories, crafts and song. Be Still and Know: A Summer Prayer Series
“Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” — Philippians 4:6

Prayer can feel abstract. When do we pray? What do we say? How do we begin? This summer, we will explore prayer through the use of prayer beads and the familiar phrase, “Be still and know.” Prayer beads give our hands something to hold while our hearts turn toward God, helping us slow down, breathe, remember, and pray.

Prayer beads will be available in the pews for everyone to use. Each week will connect this hands-on prayer practice with the Lord’s Prayer and a different movement of prayer:

June 14/17 – Be Still and Know
June 21/24 – Presence
July 5/8 – Praise (Rev. Tyler Whipkey preaching)
July 12/15 – Purpose
July 19/22 – Petition
July 26/29 – Pardon
August 2/5 – Protection
August 9/12 – Persistence

Join us as we discover that prayer does not have to be complicated. Sometimes prayer begins with a breath, a bead between our fingers, and the simple willingness to be still and know that God is God.

VBS Registration is Open at https://vbspro.events/p/fcczanesville
Each day, your family members can become part of history as they see, hear, touch, and even taste what it was like to live in Rome during Bible times! They will explore authentic Marketplace shops, visit the Apostle Paul (who’s under house arrest), sneak to the cave where the Underground Church meets, take part in games, dance to lively Bible songs, and sample tasty tidbits as you discover more about the early church. These experiences make God’s Word come alive with new meaning for all who participate!

Father’s Day Fundraiser: Sponsor a Habitat Stud
This Father’s Day season, FCC-Z is partnering with Habitat for Humanity to help build a local home—one stud at a time. The total cost of a stud is $100, and you are invited to donate at least $10 (or more) toward the purchase of a stud in honor or memory of a special father/man in your life. Order forms are available on the table in the narthex. Please return your form with your donation, and be sure to include the name you’d like to honor or remember. Order forms received by June 14 will have names in the Father’s Day bulletin on June 21. As a sign of our commitment, Outreach Ministry funds are purchasing 10 studs—and now we’re challenging our congregation to see how many more we can sponsor together!
