As a Retired Law Enforcement Officer, Pastor Williams has been recognized with numerous honors and awards for his excellence as a church and community leader;
Pastor Williams is dedicated to providing as much knowledge and guidance to the members of New Pilgrim through his numerous venues of presenting the Word. Not only can you hear his spirit filled sermons on Sunday mornings and noon, you can find him ministering on Thursday evenings, and often offering words of inspiration via Facebook. Pastor Williams is widely respected and admired throughout the community and has touched the lives of countless people with his singular gifts and talents; and through God's kindness and mercy, New Pilgrim Baptist Church of Zachary, LA thrives as a unified Christian family, and members have the utmost trust that God’s His grace will lead them on in harmony and thanksgiving as they celebrate their beloved pastor, Dr. Derrick Williams
