There was so much to celebrate in class this week!

From our NextGen kids singing and learning God’s Word, to hearing what they’re discovering each week, to worshiping together as a class! Thursday was such a beautiful picture of what CBS is all about.

And because it was Visitors Day, we brought out a very special piece of our class history.

Years ago, this tree was created with the names of women in our class written on the leaves. Around each name are the names of the women who helped connect her to CBS—through an invitation, a friendship, or simply saying, “Come with me.”

What a beautiful reminder that so many of us are here because someone invited us. One invitation can become a friendship, a community, and an opportunity to grow together in God’s Word.

We’re so thankful for every woman and child who joined us this week—and for all the connections God has used over the years to grow our CBS family.

What a wonderful first day back at CBS!

It was such a joy to welcome familiar faces and new ones as we began our study of James & Genesis together.

Our prayer for this year is that we won’t simply hear God’s Word, but that we’ll respond to it with faith and obedience.

We’re so glad to be back!

Just 2 weeks until we gather around God's Word again!

I can't wait to see familiar faces, welcome new ones, and begin another year of growing together in God's Word. There is something so special about opening the Bible together each week, encouraging one another, and watching how the Lord works in and through our class.

This year we'll be studying James & Genesis, and I am so excited to see what God has in store for us!

As the Teaching Director for CBS Zachary, I have the privilege of working through our lessons over the summer, and y’all—I am SO excited!

My lesson book just arrived, and I’m officially kicking off my study in James. Let me tell you, it is that good. The kind of good where you want to highlight the entire commentary! I can’t wait to see how the Lord uses it to bless each of you during the 2026–2027 CBS year.

Praying even now for what He has in store for our class, our conversations, and our hearts as we journey through James together.
