Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

Thought for the Day:
He Is Your Strength And Shield

Reflection for the Day:
Others Need To Hear Your Praise

David speaks of his trust in God—a trust that did not bring disappointment. The Lord was his strength and his shield. As God intervened on his behalf, David rejoiced and sang his praises. What was in his heart came forth so that others might hear.

As you learn to put your trust in Him, you will discover that He does not disappoint. He desires to be your strength and shield, bringing deliverance wherever it is needed. You will find yourself singing His praises, so that all may know what He has done.

John 5:9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

Thought for the Day:
Neither Time Nor Severity Matter to God

Reflection for the Day:
When God Chooses to Bless, He Blesses

For thirty-eight years, a man lived with the need of healing. As the years passed, his faith diminished, causing him to believe that it was no longer possible. His doubt became so strong that when Jesus approached him, he explained to the Master why he could not be healed. Jesus ignored the man’s doubt, spoke, and immediately the man was healed. Time and severity meant nothing to the Lord.

The condition you struggle with may be severe and may have been with you for a long time. Do not allow doubt to control you. With God, neither the length of time nor the intensity of the situation matters. When He chooses to bless, He blesses.

John 4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

Thought for the Day:
You Have A Message That Must Be Shared

Reflection for the Day:
Lives Will Be Changed

After now knowing who she was talking with, the woman left all behind and went into the city. She had a message that needed to be told. What she had learned, others were waiting to hear. She was about to win the city.

You have been blessed with a message. What God has done for you is not just for you; there are people waiting to hear what you now know. When you share it, lives will be changed, with others coming to know who Jesus is.

John 4:7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

Thought for the Day:
Your Walk With God Started With Him, Not You

Reflection for the Day:
A New Life Awaits You

The scripture tells us that Jesus must go through Samaria. There, He initiates a conversation with a Samaritan woman, designed to reveal to her who He is. He was there to open the door to a changed life for her—a life she could not yet see. It all started with Jesus.

As you look back over your life, you will discover that your walk with the Lord started with Him. He initiated the opportunity for you to experience a life you were not yet able to see. Just as He loved you then, He loves you now. He sees an even greater tomorrow that awaits you.

2 Timothy 1:6–7 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Thought for the Day:
Your Gift Needs Your Attention

Reflection for the Day:
You Have What It Takes To Be Effective

Paul exhorts Timothy not to neglect the gift that is in him. It is a gift that must be stirred up so that others might be blessed. Timothy cannot allow fear to hinder him, for God has given him power, love, and a sound mind. He truly has what it takes to be effective.

Satan desires to limit your effectiveness, and one of his primary weapons is the spirit of fear. It is essential that you recognize what he is offering. While Satan introduces fear, God has already given you power, love, and a sound mind. Stir up the gift that is within you—others are waiting to be blessed.

Psalm 18:6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

Thought for the Day:
When Troubles Come, Know Where To Turn

Reflection for the Day:
Your Cry Will Be Heard

Times of distress come to all of us. David was certainly no exception. There were many occasions where he was uncertain as to his future safety. It was at those times he knew exactly where to turn. As he cried unto the Lord, his voice was heard. The Lord responded with direction and deliverance.

When troubles come, leaving you uncertain as to what to do, remember that you have One who cares. Call upon the Lord with confidence, knowing that He hears you. Your cry will not go unnoticed. He will respond—bringing guidance and direction. Your deliverance is coming.

Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Thought for the Day:
Seek And Follow God’s Direction

Reflection for the Day:
Full Joy Awaits You

Decisions are a part of life. David understood that he was limited in seeing tomorrow and all that it holds. It is the Lord who possesses all knowledge. As he sought God’s direction, he found himself experiencing fullness of joy and pleasures for evermore. What he did not know, God did.

How often do you find yourself uncertain of the path to take? The answer is found in following the Lord’s direction. He sees what you cannot. As you walk where He leads, you will discover fullness of joy and pleasures for evermore.

Acts 3:12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

Thought for the Day:
God Does What Man Cannot Do

Reflection for the Day:
All Glory Belongs To Him

As Peter and John prepared to enter the temple for prayer, they were led by God to minister to a lame man who was begging for alms. Being directed by the Spirit, Peter spoke to the man and commanded him, in the name of Jesus Christ, to rise and walk. As Peter lifted him up, the man was immediately healed—standing, leaping, and praising God. When the crowd saw what had happened, their attention turned to Peter and John as though they had performed the miracle by their own power. Peter quickly corrected them, making it clear that the healing was not by his power, but by God, and that all glory belonged to Him.

As a child of God, there will be times when the Lord uses you to bless others. In those moments, it is important that you never lose sight of the source of that work. It is not your ability or strength, but God’s power operating through you. Let every opportunity become an opportunity to point others to Him. Be mindful to give Him the glory in all things, for He alone is worthy.

1 Timothy 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Thought for the Day:
Your Walk Matters To Others

Reflection for the Day:
You Have The Power To Influence Others

Paul exhorts Timothy to carefully consider his walk with the Lord. In doing so, he will not only maintain a growing relationship with Jesus, but also influence others to come to know Him. It was essential for Timothy to take heed because his life and conduct would directly impact those around him.

You do not live in isolation. How you maintain your walk with the Lord influences others more than you may realize. As you take heed to what you say and do, you will discover that your life is speaking to those around you. A faithful and consistent walk can stir hearts, leading others to seek after God. Your walk matters to others.

Luke 10:37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

Thought for the Day:
The One In Need Is Your Neighbor

Reflection for the Day:
As God Showers Down His Mercy, So Must We

Jesus, when asked what is required to inherit eternal life, responded with the parable of the Good Samaritan, emphasizing the one who showed mercy. Through this, He made it clear that we are to go and do likewise, demonstrating that true obedience is revealed through mercy in action.

We are taught to love our neighbor as ourselves, and that love is shown through the mercy we extend to those in need. Just as Jesus continually shows mercy toward us, we must follow His example—showing mercy not only to those close to us but to all, for the one in need is truly your neighbor.
