Sometimes we’re so focused on making the pain stop that we never ask what’s causing it.

What are you avoiding? What keeps showing up? What have you learned to live with instead of dealing with?

God doesn’t just want to treat the surface. He wants access to the heart.

Have the courage to slow down, get honest, and pray:

“Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.”
