We are pleased to share that for the third consecutive year, we have been named a Knights of Columbus Star Council! We are one of only four councils in Oklahoma to receive this honor in the 2025-26 Columbian year to date.

Congratulations and thank you to all of our members who made this happen!

ABOUT THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS STAR COUNCIL AWARD

Each year, every Knights of Columbus council strives to meet goals in three areas: membership, insurance participation, and programs. Meeting goals in the these areas earns councils the McGivney Award, Founders Award, and Columbian Award, respectively.

Councils that earn recognition in all three of those facets are designated as Star Councils for that year.

This year, we've added 14 new Knights, met all of our Fraternal Benefit Event (FBE) requirements, and sponsored more than the minimum 16 programs needed, with a minimum of four programs each advancing the causes of Faith, Family, Community, and Respect for Life.

Examples of this year's programs:

FAITH: Refund Support Vocatons Program, Fish Fry, Monthly Rosary, McGivney Feast Day Celebration, Joe Baumann Christian Loyalty Award

FAMILY: Food for Families, Trunk or Treat, Children's Christmas Party, Back to School Bash, Parish Picnic (grilling)

COMMUNITY: Czech Festival German Sausage stand, Golf Tournament, Soccer Challenge, Free Throw Championship, Project Graduation

RESPECT FOR LIFE: Gift of Love Raffle Sales, monthly financial support to Gospel of Life Disciples (John Paul II Dwelling), 40 Days for Life Rosaries, Blood Drives

Wonderful work again by Boy Scout Troop 390, Yukon OK this Memorial Day weekend, ensuring all veterans in the Yukon Cemetery have a flag flying at their grave marker through Monday afternoon.

Brother Knights Joe Baumann, Chris Kastl, and Darryl Goodman are all involved directly with Troop 390, and members of Council 6478 regularly volunteer to support this important effort.

Thanks to our local Scout troop for dedicating their time and effort to this important project.

It was our privilege to provide the Honor Guard for the Memorial Mass of Debbie Pickett this morning at Christ the King Catholic Church in Nichols Hills. Debbie is the late wife of our Brother Pete Pickett, pictured here with the five-man Honor Guard.

We live to serve our parish and community, but the days we can be there to serve our own Brother Knights are also great blessings.

May Debbie receive pardon from the Lord for her sins and be welcomed joyfully into Heaven for all eternity. 🙏
