St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church

St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church Confessing Faith in Jesus Christ Since 1889 It's more than a catchy theme for our page. Our patron, St. And St.

When we confess our faith, we declare our belief in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. As Mary did in the Magnificat, we confess “the greatness of the Lord” Luke 1:46. John Nepomuk, declared his faith with his adherence to the seal of confession. Paul's letter to the Hebrews urges us to “hold fast to our confession” so that we may “confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to

find grace for timely help.” Hebrews 4:14-16
Here at St. John Nepomuk, we know that a true disciple of Christ has to do more than keep the faith. We must also profess it, confidently bear witness to it, and spread it. We confess our faith in our words and in our actions. In our education programs, our fellowship within our parish, and our service to our community, we rely on the gifts we receive in the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation. Those gifts give us the “special strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the faith by word and action as true witnesses of Christ, to confess the name of Christ boldly, and never to be ashamed of the Cross.” CCC 13

Join our amazing Knights of Columbus!

We are pleased to share that for the third consecutive year, we have been named a Knights of Columbus Star Council! We are one of only four councils in Oklahoma to receive this honor in the 2025-26 Columbian year to date.

Congratulations and thank you to all of our members who made this happen!

ABOUT THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS STAR COUNCIL AWARD

Each year, every Knights of Columbus council strives to meet goals in three areas: membership, insurance participation, and programs. Meeting goals in the these areas earns councils the McGivney Award, Founders Award, and Columbian Award, respectively.

Councils that earn recognition in all three of those facets are designated as Star Councils for that year.

This year, we've added 14 new Knights, met all of our Fraternal Benefit Event (FBE) requirements, and sponsored more than the minimum 16 programs needed, with a minimum of four programs each advancing the causes of Faith, Family, Community, and Respect for Life.

Examples of this year's programs:

FAITH: Refund Support Vocatons Program, Fish Fry, Monthly Rosary, McGivney Feast Day Celebration, Joe Baumann Christian Loyalty Award

FAMILY: Food for Families, Trunk or Treat, Children's Christmas Party, Back to School Bash, Parish Picnic (grilling)

COMMUNITY: Czech Festival German Sausage stand, Golf Tournament, Soccer Challenge, Free Throw Championship, Project Graduation

RESPECT FOR LIFE: Gift of Love Raffle Sales, monthly financial support to Gospel of Life Disciples (John Paul II Dwelling), 40 Days for Life Rosaries, Blood Drives

We are proud to announce 4 of our students will be headed to Washington D.C. this summer to compete at the national level in TWO separate events!

Jayden L. is headed to DC next week to participate in the Script Spelling Bee!

Then, he will return alongside Lenna F. Lizzy N. and Damian R. in June for the National History Day competition!

This is a rare and incredible opportunity for these kiddos!

If you are able, and feel called to do so, would you consider donating to their trip expenses?

Thank you for your consideration!
