Village Ministries International

Village Ministries International Target areas are villages and remote cities that ordinarily would not be exposed to missionary activity or Bible teaching.

Village Ministries International is dedicated to serving the forgotten people around the world, teaching them the Word of God and training them for ministry to reach others within their own countries. Village Ministries distributes Bibles to Christians in these remote areas. Along with each Bible given VMI strives to provide an Essentials: Bible Study Keys booklet, in the same language, to each re

cipient to enhance their study of Scripture. Training village pastors so they may go and teach others (2 Timothy 2:2).

I’m so thankful to each one who sponsored food for these children’s ministries. These children are from the slums. The children are so happy to come and attend the evening classes. We teach them how to write and read, along with teaching them from the Bible. We know the children will share what they have learned with their parents. Since we are unable to visit the adults and families, we reach the children and through them the parents are coming to Christ. Pastor M, Southeast Asia

In a rural boarder town, we have established a series of trainings to teach the laymen who serve as pastors and women leaders of the churches. Through your support we have also been able to provide 100 Bibles to these pastors and women leaders. It is hard to express how much benefit the equipping of these pastors and leaders will have in their communities. Justin, South Central Africa

To buy a blanket is a dream for me. I have learned that what the Bible says is true, nothing is impossible for God. He helped to make my dream real—I got a brand-new blanket. At 78 I was totally worried about my age and weather. But God said, “I’m here to help you and I will take care of you.” I wanted to express my thanks to all the Christians who helped me to over-come this season by this blanket. Simone, Southeast Asia

This workshop was very helpful and highly applicable for teaching the congregation. The materials strengthened my understanding of Scripture and equipped me to explain biblical truths more clearly in ministry. Pastor U, Pacific Rim

Kisba, one of the residents in this community, took the initiative to bring almost seventy women to the outreach event to receive a blanket. Kisba is very open to the Gospel and has said that she would like to come to church to “attend your singing and praising God.” She herself did not take a blanket because that would allow one more woman to come and hear about Jesus. We once again held a camp for refugees from Cameroon. Each day included prayer, Bible teaching, and workshops. We focused on discipleship and living this Christian life. Worship services and prayer lasted long into each night. More than 2,000 people attended, many trekking long distances to reach the camp. We closed with a service encouraging participants to return as lights to their homes, churches, and communities. Mathias, West Africa

The blanket distribution will help me in two different ways – first, church members understood that we need to love our communities and second, we were able to show the love of Christ to these needy slum dwellers. I strongly believe in the coming days, this investment will bring souls to the Church. Pastor B, Southeast Asia

As usual, the elderly and the needy were extremely excited when we arrived at the Mountain churches with the food items to share among them. Many started singing and others shed tears of joy as the van was unloaded—all praising the Lord for His goodness. We were able to share the gifts among five villages where our five churches are located.

Many of those who received the gifts of food were sick and bedridden. One recipient, a blind farmer, insisted that we preach the Gospel to him. After hearing that Jesus Christ was a gift of God to the world, he would not let us leave without giving us a gift in return—giant tubers of Cassava.

Jesus is indeed the gift of God to the world!
James, West Africa

Last December we were blessed to conduct evangelistic outreach events in three different cities among the very poor. In each location blankets were distributed to the most needy and a program was conducted for street children. The Lord opened doors for us to work in areas and among groups where we have never had opportunities. Pastor S, Southeast Asia
