Chloe’s Quarterly Update!
Hello!
If you don’t know me, my name is Chloe, I am twenty-one years old and I am from Piedmont, Oklahoma. I married my High School sweetheart in March of this year! This August, I will be attending the University of Central Oklahoma’s Masters in Counseling Program in. I plan to use my degree to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.
My Husband and I have loved living in our new Surrey home and have been very blessed with some wonderful neighbors. I have continued serving on our Love Avenue Team, Praise and Worship team and in GC Surrey Hills Children’s Ministry. These wonderful programs have encouraged me to be an active member of my community.
In the past few months, I have created a Media Team, which is an incredible blessing to our church. Our Media Team has gone from a one woman show to a 6-person team and I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead this team! I have also completed my Avenue rotations and have now returned to Hope as my focus Avenue! I am so excited to be back with our Hope Avenue Team and I am looking forward to the ways God will use our team this year!
As a part of the Program, I am asked to fundraise a portion of my salary. My fundraising goal for 2024 is $5,000. If you feel compelled to give toward my goal, you can give one time or monthly. No gift is too large or too small, and from the bottom of my heart I appreciate you and thank you all so much! I will be sending quarterly updates to all my financial supporters. We are SO excited to be taking applicantions for our two amazing paid ministry programs, a Ministry Internship and a Pastoral Residency program right here in the beautiful neighborhood of Surrey Hills.

✝️The Ministry Internship

⭐️ The Ministry Intern Program is a 4-year hands-on church ministry experience for those interested in exploring ministry leadership. Rather than taking a “one-size-fits-all” approach, the program allows for a variety of gifts to be expressed, giving interns
room to flex, grow and develop in a way unique to their God-given calling.

❤️4-year internship.
💛 Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, enrolled in full-time undergraduate education.
💜Paid, part-time work in the church, typically 8 hours per week.
💚Open to full-time undergraduate students.
💙Interns will experience Ministry mentoring, coaching, hands-on ministry training, ministry leadership opportunities, formal trainings, ministry exploration and discernment of calling, and participation in GCI events.

✝️The Pastoral Resident Program

⭐️ The Pastoral Resident Program is a 2.5-year, hands-on pastoral ministry experience for those who have discerned a calling to pastoral ministry and have demonstrated potential for this vocation. This program is available to graduates of the GCI Ministry Intern Program and those who, through involvement in their local church ministry, have gained substantial ministry leadership experience and demonstrated an aptitude towards pastoral ministry.

🖤2.5-year residency.
💛 Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a bachelor’s degree.
❤️Paid, part-time work in the church, typically 25 hours per week.
💚Enrollment in a Master’s of Pastoral Studies or Master’s of Theological Studies at Grace Communion Seminary.
💙Residents will experience Pastoral ministry mentoring, coaching, hands-on ministry training, pastoral ministry leadership opportunities, formal trainings, discernment of calling, and participation in GCI events.

This is at the heart of the MTC. We believe in a program that is all about place-sharing. Working alongside one another, doing life together, joining Jesus in everything He is doing.

Do you know a highschool senior who has a passion for Jesus, interested in ministry, and who is (or will be) attending college in the Oklahoma City area this fall? Send them our way!!

17 people from multiple states came together last weekend to binge Jesus at a cabin in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

15 of those people were ages 20-39.

4 of these young adults volunteered to be interviewed before and after binge-watching Seasons 1 & 2 of The Chosen.

Their interviews are raw, uncut, and unedited.

We see you, Jesus! 🙌🏼

When we designed the MTC Lounge, we wanted a space interns and PRs could work at while soaking in the peaceful, beautiful views!!

Our first intern, Chloe, just started and we were able to capture her in this photo bringing the vision to life!

What an amazing regional young adult retreat binge watching The Chosen together!! ❤️

Get used to different.

This weekend was made possible by the generosity of Living Grace Christian Fellowship, one of our sister churches in Denver Colorado. This is what it looks like when a small church has a vision and wants to join Jesus in what he’s doing in the lives of young people. Small congregations can do BIG things!

What an amazing thing this church has done for 15 young adults & two “seniors”!! 😂 we are so thankful, words cannot express!
