So many times, it is asked why God didn't just send Jesus right after Adam fell. The answer? The Lord needs people to understand the worth and value of the sacrifice. The problem with getting stuff for free is that people tend to devalue and treat those things with little respect. Lev 5:15 says, "a ram without blemish out of the flocks, with thy estimation by shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary." Mankind had to get to the place where their cries out would show that they would respect the sacrifice made for their salvation. Unfortunately, even today that sacrifice is sometimes undervalued. Like Esau, some just do not value the things of God. And thus the scripture, Jacob have I loved and Esau have I hated. Do you value the sacrifice made for your salvation today? If so, take a moment and thank Him, tell him of His value, and the value of His sacrifice toward you.

Update on Faith Abides Church and Farm. We have been working hard around the grounds. After last year's major repairs- the septic, the electric, and the replacement of the entire wall on the front house. This year we have done several dump runs, repaired a fence, got rid of old appliances, hauled off a couple of old cars, and currently we are fixing the pole barn. Next up, more clean up, and we get to finally start on the Chapel. It will take a while, but it is exciting to me. I want to get a place for prayer and worship in place; we also have another roof on the parsonage garage. Then that will be the summer. We may not make it, but we will try. Faith Abides is looking for the donation of a smaller 4x4 tractor (like a koboda, or bobcat) with a front bucket and PTO, also looking for donation of a commercial lawn mower.
