"The Hope Clinic has an urgent appeal
Soups, Cereals, Condiments Needed
More than 14% of Washtenaw County residents fear they'll run out of food before they have the money to buy more. Summer is an especially vulnerable time for many families, when school meals are no longer keeping their kids fed.
The extra need doesn't always translate into extra support of food assistance programs. In fact, with many folks traveling or switching to a different summer schedule, food drives and donations tend to fall to the wayside. But everyone in our community deserves to know that their needs will be met. And you can help.
This week and next, consider making a donation of canned soups, cereal, and condiments/spices/oils to Hope Clinic's food pantry. Soups and cereals are two of our highest-demand items. We are always excited to receive condiments, spices, and oils because these items go a long way toward making meals more enjoyable, but are also sometimes a "splurge item" for those on limited grocery budgets."
