Happy Saturday Everyone,

We have made to the “unofficial” last weekend of summer. But you cannot tell it by the hot temperatures we are having outside.

This is Labor Day Weekend. The Labor Day Holiday, which is officially on Monday, represents an annual celebration of the social and economic achievements of American workers. The holiday is rooted in the late nineteenth century, when labor activists pushed for a federal holiday to recognize the many contributions workers have made to America’s strength, prosperity, and well-being.

Tomorrow, as we study God’s word together, Peter is going to address the work of church leaders and their responsibilities. This came at a time when the new believers were face terrible persecution and needed strong leadership to help guide them through the most difficult of days.

For those who are traveling this weekend, we pray for your safe travel and return.

Happy Saturday Everyone,

God is Good all the time and all the time God is Good!

Don’t forget that tonight we are meeting at 6:00 pm for movie night. This will be a great time of fellowship as we gather and watch a great movie. Invite someone to come with you.

Tomorrow will be another great day as we gather to worship the Lord. As we study God’s word we will see how we reveal our identity with Christ. What identifies us as a Christian? What makes our identity with Christ different than the world? Come tomorrow and let’s let the Lord teach us through His word.

Happy Saturday Everyone!

This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow as we come to worship our Lord and Savior.

As we study God’s word, Peter is going to give further instruction on how to live for God as we prepare for the imminent return of Christ. What are we to be doing? Are we taking the return of Christ seriously? Are we watchful in our prayers? Are we fervently loving as we should? Are we being hospitable without grumbling? Are we using our God given spiritual gift to serve and minister to others that gives all the glory to God?

Come and let’s let God speak to us, encourage us, motivate us as we live for Him!

Don’t forget that the we are having a Movie Evening on Saturday, August 29th at 6:00 p.m. We will be watching the movie called, The Mulligan. It is free to attend the movie but we ask you to donate as the Lord leads to help support the mission trip of Stephen and Rebekah Wright. There will be snacks to enjoy during the movie. Be sure to bring your favorite chair to sit in.

Happy Saturday Everyone,

I hope your week has gone well, and you have remembered to stay hydrated during all this high heat we have been having.

Tomorrow will be another great day as we come together to worship the Lord. The day will begin with Sunday School starting at 9:45 followed by our worship service at 11:00. The message tomorrow will center around Peter’s instructions on How to Live for God. The reality is that we all need help and direction in knowing how to live our lives as believers in Jesus Christ. God has provided the instruction manual in His Word, the Bible for us to know and understand how to live for God. Let us take what He teaches us and be obedient children in living for Him.

Tomorrow night at 6:00 p.m. will be another great time together as Mercy’s Well comes to lead us in worship through music. Invite your friends, neighbors, and family to come and join us. Remember, there will be a love offering taken to support their ministry.

Don’t forget on Saturday, August 29th at 6:00 p.m. we will be having a Movie Evening as we watch the movie, The Mulligan. The movie and snacks are free of charge. But there will be an opportunity to for you to donate to the mission trip of Stephen and Rebekah Wright to Amenia on September 28th – October 12th. Be sure to invite your friends, neighbors, and family to come and join. Be sure to bring your favorite lounging chair to sit in as we watch the movie.

Praise the Lord for all the good things happening at Oak Level.

Happy Saturday Everyone,

What a beautiful day the Lord has blessed us with.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow as we come together to worship the Lord. As we gather for worship at 11:00, we will learn from God’s word on how about suffering. We will learn about the possibility of not suffering versus suffering and how we are to respond.

Mark your calendars for two important dates in August.

On August 16th at 6:00 p.m. Mercy’s Well will be in concert at our church. Make plans to attend and invite someone to come. A love offering will be taken.

On August 29th at 6:00 p.m. there will be a movie night fundraiser for Stephen and Rebekah Wright to support them in their upcoming trip. It is FREE TO COME TO THE MOVIE but donations will be accepted to support them.

Happy Saturday Everyone,

Let it rain! Let it rain! Let it rain! Thank you Lord, for the rain we have received. You always provide what we need and when we need it.

Reminder, the Church Picnic is today starting at 4:00 P.M. We are looking forward to a great time of fellowship and all the delicious food you will be bringing to share. Yum! Yum!

Tomorrow will be a great day as well as we worship our Lord together. In God’s word, we are going to look at Living in Harmony. Life is not always harmonious, but God tells us what we are to do on our part to live in harmony with others.

Mark your calendars for two events in August.

On August 16th, Mercy’s Well will be in concert at Oak Level at 6:00 P.M. Come and join us for a night of worship through song. There will be a love offering taken.

On August 29th, there will be a movie night fund raiser for Stephen and Rebekah Wright to support them on their Mission Trip to Armenia in September. The cost is free, but donations will be accepted to support the mission trip. Invite someone to come and join us. The movie that will be shown is called The Mulligan.

Happy Saturday Everyone!

The heat is hot, hot, hot today so please be careful when outside. Do not forget to hydrate and stay cool.

Although the heat is high outside, the sanctuary will be cool as we gather for worship tomorrow. As we have been studying through 1st Peter, he has most recently instructed us how to live in the world through our responsibility of submission to governmental authorities and to our masters (those in authority over us) following the example of Christ who submitted himself to the ways of God. This week Peter is going to instruct us about submission in the home. Come and join us as we worship together.

Remember our Church Picnic next Saturday, July 25th, starting at 4:00 P.M. Remember to prepare dishes that have been put into our church cookbook. How great it will be to taste and eat these wonderful dishes.

There is still time to purchase a cookbook for $25.00 to support the Women’s Fellowship Ministry. See Harriett Edwards or Jennifer Bailey to purchase cookbooks.

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Happy Birthday America!

I hope you are staying cool from the heat and having a nice cold drink to stay hydrated.
The heat is on outside but the air conditioning is working great at church so come and join us tomorrow to get out of the heat.

In our message tomorrow we will be looking at Praying for America. As Christians we are commanded to pray for others, including our leaders, with the ultimate goal of seeing people to come to a personal relationship with Christ.

Come and join us tomorrow as we worship the Lord.

Happy Saturday Everyone,

This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Tomorrow will be another great day as we come together.

We will celebrate and honor our graduate High School Seniors tomorrow and wish them well in their future endeavors.

We will worship the Lord as we together as we study His word and allow Him to speak to our hearts. He will be speaking to us about submitting to masters. He will instruct us in three ways: The Command to Submit, The Example to Follow, and The Savior’s Sacrifice.

Invite someone and come and join us for Sunday School at 9:45 followed by worship at 11:00.

Happy Saturday Everyone,

Praise the Lord for the beautiful rain we received this week. God is Good!

I look forward to seeing everyone as we come to worship our Lord. As we come together we going to let the Lord speak to us about what it means to Walk with God. We are all walking in some direction; the question is where are we walking to? Who are we following as we are walking? Let’s find out together as we study God’s word.
