A Sad Announcement - William "Bill" Slocum
Saron's long time active member and Vice President of our Church Council, passed on to his earned eternal reward about 9 pm Thursday evening. Just five days ago Bill was talking and laughing as we all would expect.

This month is Pastor's Appreciation Month. Saron has not had a Pastor for a while. No, Saron has a community of Assisting Pastors. A church family each taking on the things that each can and collectively representing the Body of Christ.

The first two Sundays of October, the congregation celebrated after each service the two regular Lay Worship Leaders. Each was given the welcome and warm appreciation that some wonderful ordained Pastors do not even see. Come join us as a Christian family wanting to welcome you as they welcome the rest of God's neighbors.

Communities of faith were seeds planted in communities across America as immigrants came to begin new lives. As with Saron Lutheran Church, these communities of faith had common cultures, common, beliefs and in our case a common language, resulting in the Swedish Lutheran Church.
