A serious lesson to be learned about ourselves.

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill.
In the room of 200, he asked, “Who would like this $20 bill?”
Hands started going up. He said, “I am going to give this $20 bill to one of you - but first, let me do this.”
He proceeded to crumple the 20 dollar note up. He then asked “who still wants it”?” Still the hands were up in the air.
“Well, “he replied, “what if I do this?” He dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. “Now, who still wants it?”
Still the hands went in the air.
“My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless; but no matter what happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you. The worth of your lives come not in what we do or who we know, but by… WHO WE ARE!”

Colossians 3:23
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,

Enthusiasm unleashes enormous creative energy. The effect is like powerful music that inspires great numbers of people, loosening constraints and sprouting new opportunities. The power of enthusiasm is best symbolized by music and dance. It is guided more by the heart than the head. Good fortune can follow when an enthusiastic leader is a person of strong character—one who is able to guide this positive energy toward a favorable destination.

James 1:1-27

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes in the Dispersion: Greetings. Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

Enthusiasm, in a personal relationship or in a group, generates special electricity. For instance, when the crowd at a music festival is charged up, the singers scale new heights; and life—the shared experience of the moment—becomes its own reward. And who is not in awe of thunder? Who would fail to fill his or her lungs with refreshing air in the aftermath of a cleansing rain?

Arouse the passionate support of others while adjusting your ideas and plans to suit their needs. In this way, you can fill your sails with the mighty wind of popular support.

2 Timothy 2:15
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

To arouse others, redouble your dedication, and dare to create an environment that is free of tension. Take joy in your work. Harness the power of song and dance in your own way.

Philippians 1:18
What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice,

It is hard to win without a strong center, but you could still become a quality leader in the future.

Holding together produces success. High-level teamwork is achieved when the right players, on the right team, share a clear goal at the right time. A team forms its relationships in a delicate manner; chemistry is brewed in the vat of shared experience. A strong sense of unity and wholehearted commitment is required for team success.

All successful teams have a shared vision and a good leader. If its leader can rise to the challenge, the team will prosper. In political and business affairs, just as in basketball, it is hard to win without a strong center.

Accept the structure of the team if you wish to receive its benefits; otherwise, go off on your own. In holding together with others, cling to your own principles, but be willing to subordinate personal desires when they compromise the good of the group. If you would like to become a leader, remember that to become the center of influence requires binding people together, which is a serious challenge and responsibility. Assess yourself carefully to see if you qualify for such a role. If not, it would be better to pass on the opportunity than for you to lead now, without proper preparation. In due time and with the right experience, you could still become a quality leader in the future.

Cultivating Joy
Welcome to 2021! It’s a brand new year and I am determined to look forward to the possibilities of the new year rather than dwelling on the past. Gardening, thankfully, has been a bright spot for many of us. There’s nothing better than nurturing nature that God has created for us to make your little spot in the universe a beautiful haven and thus the world a better place. Colorful flowers bring joy to the world and that is something we can all have a hand in cultivating.

By cultivating joy into our lives we create an opening for God to show us another form of love, peace and joy into lives of others as well. We love to take that few minutes in nature to let God shine thru. In many ways we can all gain a little piece of joy with our neighbors with the love of plants. We can examples from Jesus and cultivate our lives as we learn from the challenges that we face daily. Jesus showed us how to cultivate our lives through how we react to what is coming at us from others.

Matthew 21:12-17
New Revised Standard Version
Jesus Cleanses the Temple
12 Then Jesus entered the temple[a] and drove out all who were selling and buying in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. 13 He said to them, “It is written,

‘My house shall be called a house of prayer’;
but you are making it a den of robbers.”

14 The blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he cured them. 15 But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the amazing things that he did, and heard[b] the children crying out in the temple, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” they became angry 16 and said to him, “Do you hear what these are saying?” Jesus said to them, “Yes; have you never read,

‘Out of the mouths of infants and nursing babies
you have prepared praise for yourself’?”

17 He left them, went out of the city to Bethany, and spent the night there.

Matthew 21:12 Other ancient authorities add of God
Matthew 21:15 Gk lacks heard

As we can see even in the challenge in the Temple Jesus was able to cultivate the outcome for others to see he got upset and mad but handled it in a manner that shows and example of cultivating tout the robbers and money changers to make the Temple of God a place of healing and worship as it should have been in the midst of the challenges. We can also prune out the weeds of our life and cultivate the things in our lives to gain access to more peace and joy in our lives.

Remember to look back at the challenges that you have learned from cultivating from your life and don't hide from them. Cultivate out things this year that don't help you to have a full life at this time. Learn that chaos is not happiness and joy. Remove it to blossom in the cultivating from it in your life.

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
~Isaiah 9:6-7

Merry Christmas everyone, all though we are so use to hearing the Christmas Story of the birth of Christ,. I thought Isaiah 9:6-7 really touches on allot of the issues that need to be addressed. We just need to remember these special words from Isaiah as we go forward into the next year.

DIFFICULTIES IN THE BEGINNING CAN ALL BE OVERSEEN BY THE GRACE OF GOD
Difficulty at the beginning.
The birth of anything new - including any new venture or relationship — is an entry into the realm of the unknown. Strange new feelings can seem to be rushing upon you, and confusion can easily take over. But even chaos is full of potential if you harness it properly. Don't rush things. Do not let events overwhelm you. Stay calm and persevering, but do take the first step. And get whatever help you can.

Challenges lie ahead.
Now is a time to gather your strength and find courage. Like a newborn fawn, the opportunity for rapid development is real, but only by being determined can the fawn rise to its feet and survive to grow to full stature. Keep going despite difficulties and you will manifest the success you desire. One primary challenge is maintaining personal clarity. Avoid lunging at seemingly perfect solutions; wait until a good practical course of action becomes clear. Do not start a new venture before thinking it through. A careless step in the beginning can easily cause events to spin out of control later. Enlist the aid of experienced people.
