John D. "Bonesetter" Reese

Born: Wales, 1855
Died: Youngstown, 1931.

John was Internationally known for his physical therapy "bonesetting" techniques. He has treated many famous athletes including Ty Cobb, Cy Young. Other patients include Theodore Roosevelt, Will Rogers, English Prime Minister David Lloyd George, among many others.

War of 1812 veteran - Colonel 3rd Regiment, Ohio Militia

One of Youngstown's first citizens, prominent business man, founder of the Rayen School.

Good Afternoon We are here to let you know that effective May 18th we will be opening our office back to the public but with restrictions to be as followed. We are only allowing 1 Guest at a time and will be by appointment only at this time. Good Afternoon we here at Oak Hill Cemetery would like to inform you of some changes during this Covid 19 event our offices will be closed to the general public but will give out information via our e-mail and over the phone. We will continue to work from our office to provide these services these rules will be in effect until further notice. Burials will continue and our staff will be available to service them how ever all services must be completed at the funeral home or church. Thank you the Cemetery Management.
