A Prayer for Labor Day:
Creator God, we give you thanks for the gift of work, for the skills and creativity you place in our hands, and for the ways our labor serves our neighbors.
Bless all who work today - in homes, in fields, in factories, in offices, in classrooms, in hospitals, in congregations, and in countless places seen and unseen.
We remember those without work, those who labor without fair pay or safe conditions, and those whose work often goes unnoticed.
Grant rest where there is weariness, justice where there is exploitation, and dignity for every worker, so that all may flourish in the life you intend - for the life of the world. Amen.
