Dua for the Night of Power (Laylatul Qadr)

This dua should be recited on Laylatul Qadr, so it is the best dua for the last 10 nights of Ramadan. Recite this dua every night, as much as you can, over these last 10 nights of Ramadan to receive Allah’s (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) mercy.

Allaahumma innaka ‘afuwwun, tuhibb al-‘afwa, fa’fu ‘anni

“O Allah, You are the Most forgiving, and You love to forgive, so forgive me.” (Tirmidhi)

Dua for protection

Asking for Allah’s (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) protection during Ramadan is important, and in doing so we can seek protection from hellfire.

Allaahumma innee as-aluka Ridaaka wal Jannah wa a’audhu’bika min sakhatika wan-naar

O Allah, I ask of Your pleasure and for Paradise, and I seek refuge from Your displeasure and from the Hellfire. (Ibn Majah)

Subhanallahi wa bihamdihi, subhanallahil azeem(سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ) translates to "Glory be to Allah and all praise is due to Him, Glory be to Allah the Great". It is a beloved,-weighing dhikr (remembrance) on the tongue, heavily rewarding on the Day of Judgment, and wipes away sins, even if they are like the foam of the sea.

Why Are the Last 10 Days of Ramadan Important?

- The importance of the last 10 days of Ramadan comes from several key reasons:

- Laylat al-Qadr occurs during these nights, and worship on this single night is better than worship for over 83 years.

- The Prophet ﷺ would increase his worship, spend the night in prayer, and encourage his family to do the same.

- These days are a chance for complete forgiveness of sins.

- Duas made during these nights have a greater chance of being accepted.

In short, the last 10 days of Ramadan offer unmatched rewards, forgiveness, and closeness to Allah, making them the most precious days of the blessed month 🌙
Du‘a for Forgiveness (Especially on Laylat al-Qadr)
This is one of the most beloved and authentic supplications, taught by the Prophet ﷺ to Aisha

Meaning:
O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness, so forgive me.

2. Du‘a for Protection from Hellfire
The final days of Ramadan are known as the days of salvation, which is why this short yet powerful dua for last 10 days of Ramadan is often repeated:

Meaning:
O Allah, protect me from the Hellfire.

3. Du‘a for Acceptance of Deeds
As Ramadan comes to an end, believers turn to Allah with this heartfelt dua for last 10 days of Ramadan, hoping their worship is accepted:

Meaning:
O Allah, accept from us our fasting, our prayers, and all our good deeds.

Astagfirullaha rab-bi min kulli zambiyon wa-atoobuilaiyh
I seek forgiveness from Allah for all my sins and turn to Him.

Ramadan is traditionally divided into three parts, known as Ashras (ten-day periods), focusing on increasing spirituality through mercy, forgiveness, and salvation.

These stages are: Days 1-10 (Mercy - Rehmat), Days 11-20 (Forgiveness - Magfirah), and Days 21-30 (Safety from Hellfire - Nijat), culminating in the final ten nights, which include Laylat al-Qadr.

The Three Ashras of Ramadan

First Ashra (Days 1-10): Days of Mercy (Rehmat)
The first ten days are focused on seeking Allah's mercy and blessings. It is a time to establish a routine of worship, charity, and reflection, asking for compassion.

Second Ashra (Days 11-20): Days of Forgiveness (Magfirah)
The middle ten days are dedicated to repentance and seeking forgiveness for past sins. It is a period for introspection, increasing Istighfar (asking for forgiveness), and fixing relationships.

Third Ashra (Days 21-30): Days of Safety/Salvation (Nijat)
The final ten days are considered the most intense, focusing on seeking refuge from the Hellfire. This period includes the odd-numbered nights of Laylatul Qadr (the Night of Power or Decree), which is better than a thousand months of worship.
