Lent invites us into a time of reflection, repentance, and renewal. Beginning on Ash Wednesday and lasting 40 days, Lent mirrors Jesus’ time in the wilderness and calls us to slow down, take stock, and prepare spiritually for the joy of Easter.

Unable to attend an Ash Wednesday service this morning, join us at 7:00 this evening.

"Almighty and everlasting God, you hate nothing you have made and forgive the sins of all who are penitent: Create and make in us new and contrite hearts, that we, worthily lamenting our sins and acknowledging our wretchedness, may obtain of you, the God of all mercy, perfect remission and forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen."

Streets in the neighborhood have not been cleared and are rather slippery this morning. Only main roads seem to have been cleared so far. We will work to clear the sidewalks as quickly as possible, but we have work to do.

I encourage you, especially the 8:30 a.m. service attendees, to enjoy a Sunday at home taking advantage of our streaming system.

If you do venture out, do so knowing the roads are a mess, and we cannot guarantee “free and clear” sidewalks and exterior steps at this time.

Stay safe!
