Let them eat cake!
This is my last week as part-time secretary here at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. It has been an absolute joy to serve this incredible parish. Plus, I got to spend Wednesdays and Thursdays with two of the finest priests in the whole world, Fr. Sullivan and Fr. Marzynski.
Every Wednesday at 3:00 the Legion of Mary has been leading the rosary for peace in Ukraine. Today after the rosary, I was surprised by a going away gathering with the Legion of Mary, complete with a decadent Dairy Cream ice cream cake.
Trust me, it was almost the happiest I've ever been!
Thank you! I am humbled and beyond blessed.

God gifted the parishioners and students of St. Joseph's with a beautiful morning to bless Msgr. Reinert's Autumn Blaze Maple tree. Mass at 8:10 was said for the repose of his soul. The bronze plaque was revealed and breakfast served afterwards.
Thank you to the Reinert family for the donation of the tree in 2020 and to Lorene, Nick and Rae Reinert for sharing in our dedication. Thanks to Altar Society, Catholic Daughters and Knights of Columbus for sharing the costs of the plaque. Hats off to Home and School for hosting the bountiful breakfast.
Appreciation goes out to Granada and Dennis Dooley, Russ Linhart, Jeff Ericson and Don Freeman for all of their help.

A moment in time. Msgr. Reinert's tree is blessed and a memorial plaque dedicated. He is missed but always in our hearts.

Just a gentle reminder that tomorrow is First Friday, therefore Eucharistic Adoration will be held tonight, Thursday, September 1 at 7:00 p.m. Thank you for making the time to spend it in front of the Blessed Sacrament, Christ present in the Eucharist.

Some wonderful memories from last year's delicious Coffey's Wild Hog BBQ. You won't want to miss this year's celebration for the Catholic Daughters of America, York Chapter, 100th Anniversary following the 10:00 am mass. Goodness, 😄 I'm already hungry!

Monday, August 29, 8:10 Mass will be said for the repose of Msgr. Jim Reinert's soul. Following mass, all parishioners are invited to attend the tree blessing and the reveal of Msgr.'s plaque. Please plan to stay afterwards to meet Msgr.'s mom, Lorene and brother, Nick, complete with refreshments served in Mandeville Hall.

Be sure to attend the 100th celebration of the Catholic Daughters of York, this weekend following the 10 am mass!
Fun and games, great BBQ and fabulous fellowship all add up to a memorable St. Joe's community event!
