September Happenings!!!!

September 8th Men's Bible Study 7pm in the Fellowship Hall Come for a time of studying God's word.

September 10th Visitation 6:30pm Meet at the church.

September 12th Church Workday!! 8am Everyone is encouraged to come out and help with some projects in and around the church. Lunch will be provided. Bring a friend. For more information, contact Brett Dye.

September 13th Ladies Retreat Balance Due $40 ....please give to Mandy. We also will have a short meeting after service to finalize the retreat.

September 13th Spring Oak Senior Living Ministry 4pm at Carolina Gardens in York. Come be an encouragement to the residents and receive a blessing.

Operation Christmas Childs Shoeboxes: we are currently collecting items for our packing party in November. Each box is a gospel opportunity and can reach up to at least 10 people. For more information contact Jenna Dye. We also have plenty of boxes if you prefer to fill your own.

Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Packing Party 2026 Will be Saturday morning October 31st.
*****For the months of September & October, we will collect everything on the list with emphasis on the WOW ITEMS.
*****We are so very thankful for all the contributions that we have received so far this year.
***** Remember, if you are filling a shoebox on your own, they are due in the week of November 16th.

There are collection baskets in some Sunday School classrooms and in the church foyer. If you have any questions, please contact Jenna Dye

ATTENTION!!! RETRO NIGHT HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO THE CHURCH WORK DAY (we will be working in the fellowship hall too). We will keep you updated on what month it will be rescheduled to.

EVERYONE is invited to come help with the Church work day that morning!!!!

YOUNG AT HEART (Seniors)

September 12th @ 5pm we will have "Retro Night". Everyone is asked to dress the part (if possible)... ex. tie-dyed t-shirts, flared pants, polyester shirt/pants, or anything very colorful. We will have Fried chicken, sides, and deserts. There will be a sign-up sheet in the Blue Binder. Make plans to come -- save the date!!! There will be a prize or two for best Retro clothes.

Midway Christian Academy Offering Envelopes are available in the foyer. PLEASE MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO MIDWAY BAPTIST CHURCH with a note for Midway Christian Academy in the memo and place in the MCA offering envelope.

MCA VOLUNTEER Sign-up sheet There is a sign-up sheet in the Blue Binder in the foyer. All volunteers (current and new) need to sign this sheet; this is for gathering information for background checks.

MCA Fan Ministry if you would like to volunteer to drive the van for MCA afternoon transportation (as needed), please sign-up in the Blue Binder.

MCA is on a mission to prepare the next generation to excel spiritually and academically by providing them a Christ centered education.

A little information to keep in mind:

Food Pantry News:
Our current needs: Canned: Beans, carrots, fruit, tomatoes (diced,stewed,whole), pork & beans (reg. size), baked beans (reg. size) and soup. They are in high need of Jelly (regular sized jars), and cans of manwich. They're also collecting spaghetti sauce, instant potatoes, 1 # bags of rice, milk, and toilet paper. For more information contact Libby Smith. ​​

Fellowship Hall: Any church member wishing to reserve the fellowship hall will need to email [email protected] Please include the date and times you would like to reserve the building (all set up and clean up time should be included in the time reserved.)

Choir Practice!!! ​ Every Sunday 5pm. Come and make a joyful noise.​

​Phone Tree: If you would like to be added to our phone tree, which is used for prayer request and other church information updates, please write you name and phone number on the bulletin tab and put in the prayer box located in by the foyer by the Chapel front door.​

​Visitation Prospects -- We would like to have everyone submit prospects for visitation. Please submit the prospects by scanning the QR code on the Visitor Information Card (in each pew) or fill out the detachable part of the bulletin and put in the orange box in the foyer. You can also fill out the information found on the visitor tab above.

Every Sunday Power in Prayer (P.I.P.) 10:50am in the lower Sunday School Hallway.

Every Sunday Youth and Children meet at 5pm. Please see Jamie or Shelby for information.

Meeting with the Pastor There is a sign-up sheet in the blue binder in the Chapel foyer.

Piano Lessons!!! Beginning August 21st we will have someone available to teach piano lessons at the church. If you are interested, there is a sign-up sheet in the Blue Binder in the Chapel foyer.
