This morning in Hillcrest Kids, we learned about Gentleness & Self-Control. Our Bible story was the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32). If you’d like to continue the conversation at home, you might ask your kids “Who showed Gentleness in this story?” (The father) “Who showed Self-Control?” (The older son)

How can you model Gentleness and Self-Control to your kids this week?

“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23 (NLT)

Today, we learned about Kindness & Goodness! God wants us to show kindness and goodness toward others. Sometimes that’s not so easy, especially when others aren’t kind to us. Our Bible study this morning was David Shows Kindness (2 Samuel 9:1-13). How can you model Goodness & Kindness to your kids this week?

If you’d like to keep the conversation going, you might ask your kids “How did David show kindness?” You might also ask “Hey… Can you spell Mephibosheth??” Tell them Mr. Jerry wants to know. 😉

Right now, in Hillcrest Kids, we’re learning about the Fruit of the Spirit! This week, our Need to Know was “I Can Have Peace.” Our Bible story was Jesus Walks on Water (Mark 6:45-52). Our 2-3 year olds learned that I Can Pray Anywhere!

How can you remind your kids that they can have peace this week?
