‼️Mausoleum Progress Update‼️

We’re excited to share an update on the progress of our mausoleum expansion at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens!

Construction is moving along, and we’re beginning to see the project really take shape. Concrete has now been poured for the floors of the area that will enclose the center section of our existing mausoleum, and the new mausoleum building is now standing!

The new structure is also beginning to show the openings that will eventually house crypts and niches. It’s exciting to see the vision for this expansion come to life and to watch the project progress from the ground up.

We sincerely appreciate the patience and understanding of our families and visitors while construction is underway. We know that construction activity can create some inconvenience, and we are grateful for your continued support as we work to improve and expand our facilities.

🚧 Exciting News at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens 🚧

We are pleased to announce that construction has officially begun on the expansion of our mausoleum. This project includes the addition of a new building as well as enclosing the center section of the existing mausoleum. We are excited to enhance our facilities and better serve the families who entrust us with the care of their loved ones.

For the safety of our visitors, the mausoleum will be temporarily closed throughout the construction process.

Families visiting the cemetery may also notice construction vehicles, equipment, and increased noise during this time. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding as we work to complete these improvements as safely and efficiently as possible.

🌼Flower Clean-Off Starts Today! 🌼
The clean-off will continue through July 22.
During this time, all decorations will be removed to prepare for seasonal maintenance. If you have any items you wish to keep, please remove them as soon as possible.
Moving forward, please follow our flower policy: No balloons, no glass or ceramic items, no digging or planting in the ground. Full policy available within the cemetery office.

The Roman word "pallium" refers to a person's cape or cloak, often used in relation to a soldier. When the person passed away, they were covered in the cloak. This led to the term "pall" and is a heavy, usually white, and sometimes ornate cloth that is draped over the casket. The terms "casket bearer" and "pall" were merged together to create the term "pallbearer" which refers to a person who carries the casket during a funeral service.
