What God says is good is always best.
Yet we often find ourselves questioning His goodness or even calling something good that He says is not good.
It leads us to become frustrated with God.

In Numbers 21, we see the Israelites go through this. We also see God invite them to renew their trust in His leadership and provision.

The Israelites had been in the wilderness for a long time—so long that they started to think God's leadership and provision weren't good enough. Have you eve...

Settling. It affects ketchup (you get the watery stuff,) buildings (cracks begin to show,) and it can affect Christians, too. In Philippians 3, Paul teaches us not to settle for joy found in anything other than Jesus.

Philippians is all about joy, but it's mostly about Jesus. In Philippians 3, Paul says don't settle for religious joy, selfish joy, or even merely knowing Je...

Humility so often competes with our desire for personal glory. In Philippians 2, Paul looked to the examples of Timothy and Epaphroditus to remind his readers that following Jesus' example of humble service results in great joy.

Philippians is packed with popular verses we know and love. But the parts in between are just as important! In this message, we look at a portion in which Pa...

Key Points from This Week’s Message
1. The church must be clear on truth.
2. The church must be humble in action.
3. The church must be different from the world.

Do these things and the church will have joy as a result of its obedience. Learn more in this week’s message from Philippians.

Paul wrote to encourage the church at Philippi. In doing so, he called them be clear on the truth, be humble in action, and be different than the world. If t...

In light of the recent violence in our nation and community, we took time to worship, pray, and try to better understand the evil in our world and the confidence we have when God is with us. (Psalm 23, Genesis 3, Ephesians 6)

In light of the killing of three police officers and injury of two others in our community, we took time to worship, pray, and try to better understand the e...

Last Sunday we emphasized "If God is not supreme, joy is just a dream." This Sunday, we pause our Philippians series to lean into God's supremacy in light of this week's events. Through scripture, teaching, prayer, and song, we will worship and be reminded that God is in control and is the only true source of strength and comfort.

It's an important Sunday to be together as a church family.

Renewed sorrow has come to our nation—even our own community—as we mourn the killing of three law enforcement officers and pray for the healing and recovery of two others. Like sea billows, it is as though a fresh wave of pain and grief has crashed following the heaviness of the past week.

We pray for the family, friends, and colleagues of the fallen and injured. We lift up the Northern York County Regional Police Department and York County Sheriff’s Office and we pray for all law enforcement who return to duty despite their own sorrow and the painful reminder of evil in our world.

Our faith is not based on everything going right. It is based on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. In Him, there is hope beyond death. There is hope beyond evil. May we serve as beacons of hope in Jesus even as we mourn with those who mourn.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
Revelation 21:4 ESV

If God is not supreme, joy is just a dream.

Paul starts his letter to the Philippians by reminding them that when God has His rightful place of supremacy in our lives, we have joy that surpasses disappointments, circumstances, and even life itself!

True joy found in Jesus surpasses disappointments, circumstances, and life itself. Paul wrote about that to his friends, the Philippians, while chained to a ...

It's been a hard week. Plan to be with us Sunday for hope-filled worship and the beginning of a new message series in Philippians focusing on our joy in Christ.

We need to remember and tell others: In Jesus there is great hope and great joy!

It's an important Sunday to reach out to those around you and invite them to sit with you so they can share in this hope and joy in Christ as well.

Sunday. 9:30AM

09/06/2025

As you settle in for the night, pray for church tomorrow. Pray for genuine worship, the preacher, a heart and mind ready to hear and respond to God's Word, and that you would know the joy of being with other believers.

Sunday, 9:30AM, in the lunch room of Garrod Hydraulics.
