AND ALL OTHER OCCUPANTS OF THE PREMISES, including all persons and entities in possession of, or claiming any right to possession of, the Premises by, through, or under First Baptist Church of Yorba Linda.

Real property commonly known as 18372 Lemon Drive, Yorba Linda, California 92886 (the “Premises”).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Transformation Ministries dba Aspire Network (“Owner”) hereby terminates, pursuant to California Civil Code section 1946, any month-to-month tenancy or other periodic tenancy, including any such tenancy arising from an oral agreement, and any right to possession or occupancy of the Premises arising therefrom, held or claimed by First Baptist Church of Yorba Linda (“Tenant”).

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that within 30 days after service of this Notice, Tenant, and all persons and entities occupying or claiming any right to possession of the Premises by, through, or under Tenant, are required to vacate and surrender possession of the Premises to Owner or its authorized agent.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that state law permits former tenants to reclaim abandoned personal property left at the former address of the tenant, subject to certain conditions. You may or may not be able to reclaim property without incurring additional costs, depending on the cost of storing the property and the length of time before it is reclaimed. In general, these costs will be lower the sooner you contact the Owner, or her authorized agent or representative, after being notified that property belonging to you was left behind after you moved out.

While reading my devotions this passage jumped out at me: Deuteronomy 22:1-3

“If you see your neighbor’s ox or sheep or goat wandering away, don’t ignore your responsibility. Take it back to its owner. If its owner does not live nearby or you don’t know who the owner is, take it to your place and keep it until the owner comes looking for it. Then you must return it. Do the same if you find your neighbor’s donkey, clothing, or anything else your neighbor loses. Don’t ignore your responsibility.

The people of First Baptist Church paid for their property. And now Aspire Network has served them a 30 day Eviction Notice. Holding someone else's property in trust will never make you the owner.
