Meet Rosie!

Rosie is our Art and Environment Ministry Leader.
This ministry enhances the beauty and sacrednesss or our worship space through thoughtful and reverent decorating. Members prepare the church environment for the different liturgical seasons-including Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter and Ordinary Time. They use flowers, plants, fabrics, banners and other appropriate elements. Through their creativity and service, they help create an atmosphere that draws the faithful into prayer and supports the celebration of the liturgy.
Come meet Rosie at Get Connected Sunday.

Meet Mary!!

Mary is the current Moderator for WINGS.

WINGS (Women In God's Spirit) was formed in January 1987, to encourage spiritual growth through a balance of prayer, scripture study, life sharing.

Fall Season: Explores Catholic tradition, values, current Church teachings.
Winter Season: Involves study and reflection on God's Word.
Spring Season: Invites women to put their faith into practice in their personal/family life, the community and the world.
Women are given the opportunity to form bonds of friendship, pray together and share life experiences around the topic of the morning in a small group setting. You do not need to be Catholic or a member of St. Martin's to attend.
WINGS meets October to May on Wednesdays from
9 -11 AM in the Parish Hall. Free childcare is available.

Meet David and Carlyn!

Together, this husband-and-wife duo is the ministry leadership for our Sick and Homebound Ministry.

This ministry provides personal presence, prayer and the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist to parishioners who are homebound, sick, residents of nursing homes or assisted living facilities. The lay ministers are trained and commissioned to assist in connecting those who cannot attend Mass with our faith community at SMDP by bringing them Holy Communion following the Sunday morning Masses.

Meet John!
St. Martin de Porres Grand Knight,

Have you felt called to become a Knight?
Although a service-oriented organization, the Knights of Columbus leave an indelible mark on all they serve.
Below is information on their organization. Or you could come meet members of the Knights at "Get Connected Sunday."

Our Principles
Living according to the principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism, Knights work in local parishes and internationally to make the world a better place each day.

To be a Knight
There is a call deep within each man to go deeper and reach higher to become the man God made him to be. In a world full of challenges, the Knights of Columbus equips men to answer the call to lead with faith, protect their families, serve others and defend their values.

Knights lead with Faith
Knights are committed to daily prayer, weekly Mass, and building a community of faith. This is the Knights of Columbus difference, knowing that you are backed by a band of brothers in the quest to become better Catholic men. Your membership gives you access to faith-building materials that will help you draw closer to God and lead with faith.

Meet Patti!

Patti oversees St. Martin de Porres Hospitality Ministry.

The role of a hospitality minister is that of an official host, someone whose presence, conversation and actions speak a welcome to all who come to a liturgical event.

Hospitality ministers serve the assembly in offering kindness and welcome to all who gather. They perform ushering duties, collecting the offertory gifts, dismissal for Holy Communion and distribution of bulletins at the beginning of Mass.

Requirements include a smile and arriving twenty minutes before Mass. Training will be provided for other duties. Join us. The reward is great!

Meet Patti at St. Martin de Porres "Get Connected Sunday."
