Today is the Feast Day of our Patron, St. Anthony of Padua. We took part in the centuries long tradition of the blessing and sharing of the St. Anthony’s Bread. Blessings to you and your families on this feast day. Happy feast day!

O Holy St. Anthony gentlest of Saints, your love for God and charity for His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me (request).

O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms. The gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. Amen.

Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus:

O most holy heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you, I love you, and with lively sorrow for my sins I offer you this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure and wholly obedient to your will. Grant, Good Jesus, that I may live in you and for you. Protect me in the midst of danger. Comfort me in my afflictions. Give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, your blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death. Amen.

A beautiful day for our Parish Picnic. This two decade annual tradition is always a wonderful time for our Parish families and community to come together. Many thanks to the 650 or so attendees and for the dozens of volunteers that make this event such a great day. Special thanks to Homefield Deli for keeping us well fed — FunTime Amusements for keeping us entertained — and Yonkers Auxiliary Police for keeping us safe.
