WHO IS THE GREATEST?
Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost
Matthew 18:1–6

Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

Jesus answers by placing a little child before His disciples. True greatness is not found in power, status, or achievement, but in humbly receiving everything from Christ with empty hands.

Join us this Sunday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church as we hear how Jesus, the greatest of all, made Himself the least to forgive us and make us children of God.

MERCY THAT OVERCOMES EVIL

“Do not be overcome by evil,
but overcome evil with good.”
— Romans 12:21

This is more than a command. It is first the story of Jesus, who answered the evil of sin and death with His sacrifice on the cross for the forgiveness of sins and the life of the world.

When we are hurt, our natural response may be resentment, retaliation, or the desire to get even. But Christ shows us another way. Having received His mercy and forgiveness, we are freed to entrust judgment to God and show mercy to those He has placed around us.

Join us this Sunday as we reflect on Romans 12:9–21 and hear how the mercy of Christ overcomes evil with good.

"By The Mercies of God".
Pentecost 13
Romans 11:33–12:8

The Christian life is a sacramental life. It begins not with what we do for God, but with what God has done for us in Jesus Christ.

In Romans, St. Paul reminds us of the depth of God’s mercy and then calls us to offer our lives as a living sacrifice—not to earn His love, not to gain His favor, but because in Christ, mercy and grace have already been given.

What does that look like in everyday life? What does it mean to live as a living sacrifice?

It means living out our faith where God has placed us—in our homes, our work, our relationships, our service, and in the gifts He has given us.

Join us this Sunday as we reflect on God’s mercy and the life that flows from grace.

"That He May Have Mercy on us All"
Pentecost 12
Romans 11:32

Has God rejected His people? St. Paul answers, “By no means!”
This Sunday we reflect on Romans 11 and the mercy of God that reaches sinners like us.
And we are comforted by the message that God's mercy is for all.

LORD, SAVE ME!
Matthew 14:22–31

Sometimes life feels like rowing against the wind, the waves and teh storm. We worry. We become afraid. We ask, “What if?”
Peter knew that feeling. And when he began to sink, all he could say was, “Lord, save me!”
And IMMEDIATELY, Jesus reached out His hand. Join us this Sunday as we hear again the comforting words of Jesus: “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”

The Bread of Compassion
Matthew 14:13–21

Even in His own grief, Jesus looked upon the crowd and had compassion on them. He healed the sick, fed the hungry, and revealed the heart of our compassionate Savior.

Join us this Sunday as we reflect on Christ's mercy, discover how His compassion changes our lives, and receive the Bread of Life in Word and Sacrament.

"Priceless"
Matthew 13:44-52

What is the most valuable thing in your life? We treasure our families, our homes, our memories, and the people we love. But in this Sunday's Gospel (Matthew 13:44–52), Jesus reveals an even greater treasure—and it may not be what you expect. What if the treasure in the parable isn't something you find... but someone Christ came to redeem? Come and hear the good news of the One who gave everything—not with silver or gold, but with His own precious blood—to make you His treasured possession.

Join us this Sunday as we gather around God's Word and His gifts.

"Until the Harvest"
Matthew 13:24 – 30, 36 – 43

Why doesn't God remove evil from the world right now?
In the Parable of the Wheat and the Weeds, Jesus reminds us that His patience is not weakness—it is mercy. While wheat and weeds grow together for a time, the Lord continues to call sinners to repentance, strengthen His people through His Word, and prepare for the day when He will gather His harvest. Come and hear the comforting promise that, in Christ, "the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father." (Matthew 13:43)

The Seed That Never Fails"
Pentecost 7 Matthew 13:1–9, 18–23

Why do we come to church every Sunday? Is it simply out of habit? Or do we come because we believe that God still speaks through His Word and gives us His gifts?

This Sunday, join us as we reflect on Jesus' Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13:1–9, 18–23) and discover what happens when God's powerful Word takes root in our hearts. No matter where you are in life, Christ continues to sow His Word, forgive sins, strengthen faith, and bring forth fruit in His time.

Come and hear His Word. Receive His gifts. Grow in His grace.
