Our Church Service Times:
Sundays- Adult Sunday School 9:30 AM, Worship Service 10:30 AM & 6 PM
Monday Prayer 7-8 PM
Wednesday Service & Children's Church 7:00 PM. Pastor Gilbert and Courtney Mesa
Church services are Sunday mornings at 10:30 am and 6 pm and Wednesdays at 7 pm.

We think that confessing sin is a loss for us--but it's a win.
We think that being disciplined for sin is God's wrath--but it's God's love (Heb. 12:3-12).
We think that being honest about our sin will expose us--but it actually shows we're not a fraud.
We think that they out there who differ from us are the biggest problem--but we are.
We think that our sinfulness means the Father has locked the door against us in rage--but he has thrown it open in love & told us to come BOLDLY to his throne of grace (Heb. 4:16). -Owen Strachan

➡️Rules are easier than wisdom because a rule gives everyone the same answer. It’s black & white.

Wisdom & Christian liberty requires maturity. Romans 14 describes Christians who genuinely disagree about food & sacred days.

Paul does something remarkable. He does not solve every disagreement by forcing everyone into the same practice. Instead, he tells believers to stop despising & condemning one another. That gives us an important framework.

1. Your conscience matters. Romans 14:23
2. Your conscience is not automatically everyone else’s command.
3. Christian freedom is never permission to stop loving your neighbor. Romans 14:15
4. The stronger Christian does not flaunt liberty merely because he can.
5. The more restrictive Christian does not get to turn every personal conviction into universal law.
6. Both Christians answer to the same Lord. Romans 14:4

This requires more maturity than legalism. Legalism says, “My boundary must become your boundary.” License says, “My freedom matters more than your good.” Christian liberty says, “I belong to Christ, you belong to Christ, & even my freedom must be governed by love.”

Sometimes maturity means learning what you are free to do. Sometimes maturity means becoming free enough not to need to do it. -James bell

🔥"Pride demands attention"
Stop needing everyone to know how important, successful, intelligent, or accomplished you are. You do not need to dominate conversations, win every argument, or receive credit for everything you do. Pride demands attention. Humility gets to work.

Admit when you are wrong. Apologize without excuses. Celebrate other people’s success. Serve when nobody notices. Give credit away. Jesus had all authority & still washed feet. If the Son of God could humble Himself & serve, we have absolutely no excuse for arrogance. -Thomas Osterkamp

A good portion of The Psalms are lament.

And yet somehow we’ve built a church culture where expressing doubt, exhaustion, or grief feels like a lack of faith.

We didn’t get that from Scripture. We got it from performance culture wearing a Christian costume.

God can handle your honest cry. He always could. “Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord.” Psalm 130:1 -Starla

🔥If nobody can correct you, you are a dangerous man. Pride makes men defensive, stubborn, & blind to their own weaknesses. You do not know everything. You are not always right. The sooner you accept that, the faster you can grow.

Invite correction. Listen without immediately defending yourself. Ask your wife/husband, your friends, & trusted leaders where you need to improve. When they tell you, shut your mouth long enough to consider whether they are right. Teachable men keep growing. Unteachable men keep repeating the same failures while blaming everyone else. -Thomas Osterkamp
