Reminder - bring your 🎒 to tomorrow's service for a new school year blessing. 📚 🚌

We invite all students (preschool through college) and educators to bring their backpacks to worship on Sunday, August 16 for a special Backpack Blessing.

We’ll offer a blessing over each student and educator as they prepare for the year ahead. They will receive a backpack tag as a reminder that they are loved, supported, and surrounded in prayer throughout the school year.

We also invite you to take a few moments to pray for all students, teachers, and school staff across our community. May this school year be filled with growth, connection, and hope.

PASTOR MIKE JOBST and his wife, SARAH, are planning to be with us, and Pastor Mike is scheduled to preach during worship on Sunday, JULY 26.

Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for this special weekend. The Call Committee is excited for everyone to have the opportunity to meet Pastor Mike and Sarah and spend time getting to know them.

Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom — As a Nation and in Christ

This year marks 250 years since our nation’s founding in 1776. At Holy Cross Lutheran Church, we give thanks for the freedoms we enjoy as Americans, and even more for the deeper freedom we have in Christ.

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." — 2 Corinthians 3:17

The liberty written into our founding documents points us to a greater truth: lasting freedom isn’t found in politics or prosperity, but in the Spirit of the Lord. For 250 years, God has blessed this country, and for every generation, He has offered freedom from sin, fear, and death through Jesus.

As we celebrate our nation’s semiquincentennial, we pray for our leaders, our neighbors, and our communities. May we use our freedoms to worship boldly, serve humbly, and love one another as Christ has loved us.
