WE BELIEVE - There is only one living and true God. God is the creator of all things and wants to have a personal relationship with us. God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. GOD AS THE FATHER- God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe. God is Father in truth to those who become His children through faith in Jesus Christ. GOD AS THE SON- Jesus Christ is the
eternal Son of God. Jesus lived a perfect and sinless life. His death on the cross made provision for the redemption of people from sin. He was raised from the dead in a bodily resurrection. He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God as our One Mediator. He is fully God, fully man. He will one day return in power and glory to judge the world. He now dwells in all believers as the living and ever present Lord. GOD AS THE HOLY SPIRIT- The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. The scriptures were inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables people to understand truth and convicts people of sin. The Spirit enlightens and empowers believers and the church in worship, evangelism, and service. WE BELIEVE- That salvation is offered to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Jesus’ life, death and resurrection were for the redemption of his believers. Christ was the sacrifice for our sin and there is no salvation apart from a belief and faith in Him. WE BELIEVE- That baptism is an act of obedience that symbolizes a believer’s faith in Jesus Christ. The immersion in water symbolizes a death and burial of one’s old self and a resurrection to walk in a new life with Christ. WE BELIEVE- That the Holy Bible is the inspired word of God, it is perfect, true and complete. The Bible is how God reveals Himself to us. The bible tells us how we should conduct ourselves as believers and is the center of all Christian opinion. All things should be tested against the Bible.
