REMINDER to my youth (and families) .. today is DAY 2 of your Advent readings ... I urge you to take the time to connect with each other and with the Lord during this season ... I hope you are doing the kindness challenge too ... here is a calendar with some awesome ideas ...

Hi foundation youth, parents and friends,
Here is our schedule for the next few weeks:
Feb 21 7 – 9 pm Saturday Night Bible Study
Mar 7 7 – 10 pm Nerf War & devo (at FBC fellowship hall)
Mar 21 7– 9 pm Saturday Night Bible Study
Apr 4 7 – 9 pm Saturday Night Bible Study*
Apr 18 7 – 9 pm Saturday Night Bible Study*
2 May 7 – 9 pm Saturday Night Bible Study*
(This is not set in stone .. watch for a few things in the works like a youth retreat or a family bowling night .. still looking at logistics for these. A family movie trip to see Jurassic World in June was discussed too. Creationfest has been on the table too. I am seriously looking at starting a Wednesday night program (joint with FBC) but honestly want to know if you are interested in supporting this.)
Been looking at the life of Joshua for these past few weeks. One speaker struck me deep and it is my wish to share this with you and pray you see what I have seen. In Joshua 1 we find him ... an old man … stands READY to lead his people (God’s people) into the promised land. He is strong and courageous and he will win many battles. BUT his story did not start there. Look to Exodus 17 and there he is in battle against the Amalekites .. driving out the enemy! Look at Numbers 14 and we find the faithful spy who trusted that God would deliver His promise. But that is not far enough back … in Exodus 33 we find that he never left the tent of meeting … in fact in Numbers 11 we find that he had been there since his youth serving Moses! Joshua did not just be ready .. he had BEEN ready. It is my heart’s desire to help bring up Joshuas in our generation .. strong and courageous! Bearers of light who will protect and lead God’s people. I need your Mom and dad .. I am willing to work hard but if the tent of meeting is empty then no work is done! Joshua did not know he was THE JOSHUA way back there in the tent of meeting .. he was just faithful to stay the course. Pray about it ... call me and talk about it .. I am available! We got this from Ms Susan Glover on behalf of the Lions ... "Thanks so much Ignite foundation youth and Lisa for coming and handing out new socks ., Scripture cards and hygiene items to our guests tonight. Awesome job! Your visit is much appreciated!" We gave out about 30 pairs and everyone was appreciative!! :)
