Yazoo County Baptist Association Family,
We have an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ in a very practical way.
On March 28th at 7:30 AM, we will be gathering to build a ramp and deck for a wheelchair-bound neighbor in our community. This is more than a construction project—it is a chance to restore dignity, provide access, and show the love of Jesus in action.
📍 Location: 4420 Renshaw Road
🕢 Time: 7:30 AM start
We are in need of: • Laborers — whether skilled or simply willing to serve
• Financial contributions — to help cover materials and expenses
Every hammer swung and every dollar given will make a real difference in someone’s daily life.

New Year’s Eve Message from Dr. Barry Ward
Associational Missions Director – Yazoo County Baptist Association

As we come to the close of another year, I want to thank every pastor, church, and believer across Yazoo County for your faithfulness. Christmas has reminded us once again that we have been to the manger — we have seen Christ — and now we must decide what to do with Him.

Mary treasured what God had done in her heart. The shepherds went and told others what they had seen. The wise men worshiped and gave their best. Simeon and Anna rejoiced and spoke of the hope they had been waiting for. Each of them met Jesus, and none of them left unchanged.
That is our calling too.

This past year has had its challenges, but it has also been filled with God’s grace and Gospel work through our churches. As we step into a new year, may we treasure Christ deeply, worship Him sincerely, and boldly share Him with a world that desperately needs hope.

Thank you for serving so faithfully. I look forward to all God will do through the Yazoo County Baptist Association in the days ahead.

May God bless you and your church in the coming year.

🦃 Thanksgiving Message to the Pastors and Churches of the Yazoo County Baptist Association 🦃

As we approach this season of Thanksgiving, my heart overflows with gratitude for the faithful pastors and congregations who serve so tirelessly throughout Yazoo County. Your devotion to Christ, your love for His people, and your commitment to the Gospel are seen and deeply appreciated.

Scripture reminds us: “In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” We pause to thank God for your ministry, your prayers, your steadfast leadership, and the light you shine in your communities.

May this Thanksgiving bring renewed strength, deep joy, and a fresh sense of God’s presence in your homes and churches. You are prayed for, valued, and loved by your Association family.

Happy Thanksgiving, and thank you for serving the Lord so faithfully.

Invitation to Deacon Council and Ordination Service

Southside Baptist Church extends a warm invitation to all ordained men across the Yazoo County Baptist Association.

On Sunday, September 14th, we will host a Deacon Council at 4:00 p.m., followed by an Ordination Service at 5:00 p.m. for three men who have been called to serve.

We encourage all ordained men to come, participate, and join us in this special time of prayer, fellowship, and affirmation of God’s work in these men’s lives.
