The Funeral Vigil for Father John O'Shea, who died August 27, will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, September 17, at 6 p.m., at Holy Spirit Parish, 7409 W. Clearwater, Kennewick, WA 99336. There will not be a viewing, but the casket will be placed at 5:30 p.m. for those who wish to pray for Fr. O'Shea before the service begins.
The Funeral Mass will be at 12 p.m. Friday, September 18, at St. Paul Cathedral, 15 S. 12th Ave., Yakima, WA 98902. A luncheon at the Mission Center cafeteria at St. Paul's will follow, with burial to take place at 3 p.m. in the Priests Plot at Calvary Cemetery, 1405 S. 24th Ave., Yakima, WA 98902.
An obituary will be sent out soon. It will be published in the Tri Cities and Yakima newspapers and posted online at sunsetgardenstricities.
May Fr. O'Shea's soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace.
La vigilia fúnebre del Padre John O'Shea, fallecido el 27 de agosto, tendrá lugar el jueves 17 de septiembre a las 6:00 p. m. en la parroquia Holy Spirit (7409 W. Clearwater, Kennewick, WA 99336). No habrá velatorio público, pero el féretro se colocará en el templo a las 5:30 p. m. para quienes deseen orar por el P. O'Shea antes de que comience el servicio.
La misa de funeral se celebrará el viernes 18 de septiembre a las 12:00 p. m. en la Catedral de San Pablo (15 S. 12th Ave., Yakima, WA 98902). A continuación, se ofrecerá un almuerzo en la cafetería del Mission Center de la parroquia de San Pablo, y el sepelio tendrá lugar a las 3:00 p. m. en la sección reservada para sacerdotes del cementerio Calvary (1405 S. 24th Ave., Yakima, WA 98902).
