Our East Bend Veterans continue to bless YCM with food donations. To date they have presented 1,686 pounds of food to our East Bend Ministry Center. Their goal for 2026 is to donate 2,000 pounds of food! We appreciate this group who blesses many organizations in our community with generous gifts. Dear Veterans, you certainly live up to the theme of your gathering “Leading with purpose …serving with heart.” May God richly bless you for your service to our country and your continued service to our community!

Bobby and Toni Wright held their fourth annual ice cream social to benefit YCM at Richmond Hill Baptist Church. Those attending enjoyed good ice cream and great music provided by the Band of Brothers. The generous people who attended this event donated 372 pounds of food and $425 to YCM! We are so grateful for this event, those who organized it, and all who attended.

The children at Boonville UMC presented 19 birthday bags to YCM. These beautifully decorated bags include cake mix, frosting, candles, and party favors essentials for a big celebration. Thank you, children, for helping our clients celebrate their special day.

Maureen Silvernale delivered 90 kid friendly snack bags from the United Women in Faith of Yadkinville UMC to YCM. These will be a special treat for our young ones as they finish their summer break and begin a new academic year. Thank you, ladies, for this loving gift for our children.

The children at Huntsville Baptist Church presented 18 birthday cake kits to our East Bend Ministry Center. This was a mission project for their recent VBS. These lovely kits include cake mix, frosting, candles, banners, and party favors essentials for a big celebration. Thank you, folks, for helping our clients celebrate their special day

Our friend, Robert Lawson with the Wilkes Fellowship Garden, was back again to bless YCM with 62 pounds of fresh produce! Our volunteer, Fred Sener, assisted him with this delivery. Blessings to our neighbors in Wilkes County for this wonderful gift of fresh food for our clients!

Kathy McCollum and her extended family presented YCM with 371 pounds of food and a monetary gift of $775 collected in honor of the one-year anniversary of the passing of her husband, Steve. What a touching way to remember the life of a precious loved one. Even in his death, he is continuing to give back to his community offering the sustenance of life, food. May God’s richest blessings and comfort be with this family in this celebration of a life that touched many people.

The Fellowship Garden in Wilkes County is a ministry to supply fresh produce to the needy in the community. It is supported by area churches who volunteer resources and manpower to maintain the garden. Robert Lawson, a gardener who has volunteered with the program for fifteen years delivered 55 pounds of fresh potatoes, tomatoes, squash, eggplant, onions, garlic, and cucumbers to YCM. What a wonderful and timely gift for us to share with our clients. We appreciate our neighbors in Wilkes County for helping shoulder the burden of our ministry. Isn’t it amazing how God works through so many different people to help us serve those who are in need.

YCM Yadkinville Ministry Center will be closed July 3 and East Bend Ministry Center will be closed July 4 to observe the Independence Day holiday.
