My name is Gary Houseman and I am the Pastor at Berea Christian Church. Berea is an independent church unassociated with any denomination with an average attendance of around 45 people. The congregation is made up mostly of young families with young children, the middle aged and a few seniors. After twenty years serving as Pastor, I am planning to retire at the end of this year, 2026, so we are in the process of looking for my replacement. As an independent church, we can hire whoever we feel will be the best fit for our congregation. The position is part-time, so the successful candidate should be bi-vocational or have another source of income.

The Fundamental Beliefs of Berea are basic Christian beliefs. If you are interested, I will be glad to discuss with you our Fundamental Beliefs, as well as the culture and work of the church.
We are hoping to interview in the next few weeks and, with the approval of the search committee, provide an opportunity for candidates to present a sermon to the church.
