Route 11 & West Monroe Street
Realignment

Please be aware of Traffic Changes and Road Closures in the areas depicted above. Road Closures and detours are to begin on June 9, 2026, and be completed by December of 2026.

The completion of this VDOT Project will align West Monroe Street across Route 11/West Lee Highway, providing a straight crossing across Route 11/West Lee Highway and reduce accidents in the area. The Route 11/West Lee Highway entrance to Food City will also be resolved to a Right in/ Right out only entrance and exit. Reducing the chances of side swipe accidents in the area.
