Proverbs 15:3 NLT
The LORD is watching everywhere, keeping His eye on both the evil and the good.

There is no place that we can go that our Lord does not see us. Knowing this should make us aware of what we do and where we go. We cannot hide from His sight.

Psalm 33:13-14 NLT
The LORD looks down from heaven and sees the whole human race.
From His throne He observes all who live on the earth.

The all powerful, the almighty of Heaven and Earth knows our whereabouts. Each step we take is counted and recorded.

Psalm 139:2-3 NLT
You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do.

How does meditating on this verse make you feel? I am grateful for His watchful eyes and His awareness of my many moves. Am I moving according to the Lord or according to my desires?

A few years ago, the Lord showed me people running and hiding behind trash dumpsters, not to be seen. The Lord made it clear that even those who hide out and think that they are unseen are seen. We cannot run and hide from our Lord.

Psalm 33:18-19 NLT
But the LORD watches over those who fear Him, those who rely on His unfailing love. He rescues them from death and keeps them alive in times of famine.

As children we played hide and go seek, we whispered in each other’s ears. We played games thinking that no one would see or hear. That was not all together true, Jesus could hear our words and our laughter.

Luke 12:2-3 NLT
The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!

Now is not the time for games or for hiding out or soft whispers about others. We are held to a higher standard because Jesus loves us and we love others.

We can pretend not to be seen but we are seen. Maybe not by everyone in the room but by the One who called us out.

Jeremiah 23:24 NLT
Can anyone hide from Me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth says the LORD.

No, we cannot hide. Jesus always knows our whereabouts. His eyes are upon us and His holy hand guides us. We are known by Father God. AMEN

JUSTASK: PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH
By Nancy Lennert

Isaiah 41:10 NLT
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

The Lord tells us that we will have peace because He cares for us. He strengthens us. He holds us up with His victorious right hand. Oh, the glory of God.

Jesus went to the cross in quiet power. He said nothing. He knew the outcome. His silence angered His enemies. He remained strong in His peaceful knowing of the outcome.

Sometimes the less we say, the more powerful we appear. I understand that silence can be golden.

2 Thessalonians 3:16 NLT
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you His peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.

Paul knew that peace came from strength. Paul knew who he was but more importantly, he knew who Jesus was in him. Jesus brought His peace to Paul so that Paul could walk in strength. The strength of Jesus.

When you know who you are and Who you carry inside of you, then you show a quiet strength. No one can change your thinking. You are a quiet storm standing strong.

Psalm 28:7 NLT
The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust Him with all my heart.
He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

Knowing that my peace comes through the strength of Jesus Christ, my heart is filled with joy. I do not rely upon myself.

The strength of Jesus is in His Word. His word produces peace. His word produces life. His word produces truth. His word produces hope. His life and resurrection have given me peace to overcome all that life brings to me.

There is no strife in peace. There is no fear in peace. There are no moments of uncertainty or doubt. Peace brings strength and that peace comes from Jesus.

Exodus 14:14 NLT
The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.

Now isn’t this interesting? We think we must fight our battles, but Father God says He Himself will fight for us. Be at peace/stay calm. Jesus has overcome.

At the cross, Jesus had a strength about Him that none have seen before. He knew His ending and He was joyful in the Father. Jesus was at peace knowing that we would be returned to His Father. Glory to our God.

If we know our purpose, if we know who we serve, then we must know that He is Jehovah Shalom.

John 14:27 NLT
I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

Ahh yes, Holy Spirit peace. We have no excuse for not being in peace. The peace of Holy Spirit is strong and steadfast. You will remain in peace through His strength. AMEN

JUSTASK: NOT THE LACK OF BUT THE PRESENCE OF
By Nancy Lennert

Definition of darkness: Partial or total absence of light. (Bing)

I shall add, darkness: the absence of Jesus.

John 8:12 ESV - Again, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”

Here is the promise of light forever. Never to walk in or be in darkness again. Here we see that the darkness will be present but those of us who call Jesus, Lord, will walk in His presence, the light of life. Jesus is the light.

The night will grow dark, a room without light, candle or electricity will be dark, even closing your eyes darkens your vision. In the natural darkness is present. In our walk with Jesus, His light abounds even greater.

Spiritually we can always see, we have been given the gift of seeing with our spiritual eyes. We do not depend on the natural light to enlighten us.

Light, His light surrounds us and makes us steady and steadfast. There should be no darkness in us.

Ephesians 5:8 NLT - For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So, live as people of light!

There have been numerous times in my life when I have seen better with my eyes closed. This especially happens when I am in prayer or in a prayer gathering. The outside world is shut out, and I only see what Jesus is showing me.

Psalm 119:105 NLT - Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

Our natural eyes cannot take us to where our spirit takes us. We can see with our spirit. We can see what Father God is showing us through His Holy Spirit.

There is a sensing, or a seeing into what Holy Spirit is revealing to us. We do not need natural light to show us what Holy Spirit shows us.

The darkness will only go away if a light emerges. The Spirit of Almighty God shows up and takes away the darkness. His presence has come.

1 John 1:5 NLT - This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in Him at all.

What are we called to do? We are called to walk in the light as He is the light. Let there be no darkness in you. When we enter an area, darkness must flee. Because we carry His light.

His presence overcomes the darkness. No evil can dwell in the presence of Almighty God. AMEN

John 12:46 NLT - I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in Me will no longer remain in the dark.

Hebrews 4:10-11 NLT - For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. So let us do our best to enter that rest. But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall.

Definition of rest: Cease from work or movement in order to relax, sleep, or recover strength. (Bing)

God’s definition of rest: Cease from work in order to focus on Jesus. We are to pray, give thanks and worship the King. To honor our Lord with our words and actions so that we will be rejuvenated in body, soul, and spirit. (Bible)

If rest were not important to our physical bodies and our minds, then Father God would not have commanded it. He said to take one day to honor Him.

Exodus 20:8-11 NLT - Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the LORD your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your livestock, and any foreigners living among you. For in six days the LORD made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; but on the seventh day He rested. That is why the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.

I remember when Blue Laws were in place. We could not shop. We went to church then stayed close to home or visited with other relatives. We stayed close as a family enjoying one another and not working. (Blue Law was a law prohibiting certain activities, such as shopping, on a Sunday.)

We have swung so very far away from the Blue Law. From the Sabbath rest which Father God commanded into man’s life. He knew that we worked too hard and neglected our precious time with Him.

Our physical bodies need to rejuvenate and so do our minds. Our spirits need to be refreshed in
the Word of God, and our hearts need time to move closer to Jesus.

The call has gone out; the decree has been made. Time to “slow down, you move to fast.” Peace in our lives will only come when we are in obedience and take one day and dedicate that day to Jesus! He is waiting. AMEN
