So says St. Ignatius. God gives us some amazing gifts through the Holy Spirit to do just that. We receive these gifts more fully and deliberately in the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Our Confirmation Program takes 8th Grade students through each of the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit, outlining the difference they can make in our lives.

God gives us some amazing gifts in the Sacraments and the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist are particularly special. Through Reconciliation we are offered pardon and peace as God brings us back into right relationship with Him. Through the Eucharist we are given strength and nourishment through the power of Jesus's sacrifice made present in love for us.
What precious gifts these are and how amazing is it that we get to offer these to our children.
Our First Reconciliation and First Eucharist Formation classes invite all SJV 2nd Grade students in both Faith Formation and our Catholic School to prepare, with their families, to receive these incredible sacraments for the first time.

Families are the first teachers of the faith, and SJV's Youth OEC knows it! Our formation program for our families that don't attend Catholic School surrounds our students with support by helping to form parents, sharing what they have learned, and receiving encouragement and enrichment from our catechists! Our once a month meetings also help provide flexibility for families who we know are very busy. Most of the work is done on your family's time!
