ABOUT US
We proclaim Jesus Christ and promote communities of joy, hope, love, and peace
FAITH MOVEMENT
In Community of Christ, we warmly embrace one another as family even if we have never met. With 250,000 members in more than 60 nations, we celebrate our diversity and nurture welcoming, inclusive communities. We believe all are called to make a positive difference in our world. We develop and

equip people of all ages to generously share the peace of Jesus Christ and to courageously pursue justice. We offer a community where you can belong, be valued and loved, deepen your spirituality, and discover a purpose that can change lives and communities. ENDURING PRRINCIPLES
Our Enduring Principles define the essence, heart, and soul of our faith community. They describe the personality of our church as expressed throughout the world. DISICIPLES OF JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is at the center of our faith and beliefs. We are committed to follow Jesus, bring forth the kingdom of God, and seek together the revealing, renewing presence of the Holy Spirit. BASIC BELIEFS
The good news of Jesus Christ is at the center of the faith and beliefs of Community of Christ. We are a worldwide community and are committed to follow Jesus, bring forth the kingdom of God, and seek together the revealing, renewing presence of the Holy Spirit. We offer here our Basic Beliefs, not as the last word, but as an open invitation to all to embark on the adventure of discipleship. As we seek God’s continuing guidance, we encourage all people to study the scriptures and think about their experiences as they engage in the life of the church. SACARAMENTS
We encounter God through the sacraments of the church, which touch lives at important times and places. Sacraments bring God’s grace, the influence of the Holy Spirit, and the example of the life of Jesus Christ together with one’s personal commitment of faith. Through the sacraments, we discover the presence of God everywhere and realize that all life is sacred. These encounters point to God’s loving desire to bring all people to peace, wholeness, and right relationships with one another and the Divine, which is the meaning of salvation. The sacraments refresh, renew, and challenge us to continue on Christ’s mission, our mission, for the sake of all creation. Community of Christ has eight sacraments, most of which are celebrated in worship experiences at appropriate times. DISICIPLES GENEROUS REPONSE
God gives and loves graciously and generously! We know that all we are and all we have are gifts from God. As followers of Jesus, our whole-life commitment is in response to God's wonderful generosity. Being generous is about aligning our priorities with God's priorities, aligning our hearts with God's heart. What is our response as disciples of Jesus? In simple terms, we are called to respond with thankfulness and share with others as generously as God has shared with us. The six principles of a Disciples’ Generous Response help us grow into-and expand-our true capacity as faithful stewards who live generously. MISSION INITIATIVES
In response to the Spirit’s guidance, Jesus proclaims his mission when he reads from the Isaiah scroll. Jesus is anointed for a divine mission:
• Evangelism—sent to proclaim good news and invite others to join him in mission.
• Compassionate ministries—reaching the brokenhearted, the suffering, and those who need hope and Christ’s peace.
• Justice and peacemaking—release those held captive by unjust systems and the circumstances of life that devalue the worth of any person. Those first Christians continued Christ’s mission by proclaiming the Living Christ, inviting all people into fellowship, valuing the worth of each person, generously and compassionately meeting their needs, and pursuing justice and peace for everyone. Our call is to reclaim the same vision and passion for the full mission of Jesus Christ today through five Mission Initiatives! It’s time for us to be a prophetic people characterized by uncommon devotion to the compassion and peace of God revealed in Jesus Christ. FOR MORE INFORMATION ON OUR BELIEFS LOOK AT OUR
