The City of Wyoming invites families to celebrate the magic of the season with free community events on Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6 at Godwin Mercado (301 36th St. SW).

Wyoming Winter Wonderland on Friday, December 5 from 6 - 8 p.m. will feature performances from the Wyoming Honors Choir and Wyoming Public Schools Jazz Band, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a holiday train, hot cocoa, cookie decorating, and an artisan market, perfect for finding one-of-a-kind holiday gifts. Runyon House Roasts will be serving free hot cocoa and coffee, and PAC Pizzeria will have food items for sale.

The celebration continues Saturday, December 6 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. with an expanded Holiday Artisan Market at the same location, offering a wide variety of handmade goods. Food trucks joining us that day are Cousin's Maine Lobster and Kitchen La Familia, and The Stray will have a variety of warm beverages available for sale inside.

As part of the spirit of giving, attendees are encouraged to bring new warm clothing to donate to area school children in need. Hats, gloves, coats, and scarves are especially appreciated.

This past spring, our student leaders worked hard to develop a student resource room for the Attic. They also had the foresight and passion to think about how this room could be carried on after their training was done. So here is our very first back-to-school resource drive…initiated by our very own student leaders ❤️. We will be collecting resource through the start of the school year.

This Spring, residents of Wyoming have the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look into the Wyoming Police Department through the annual Citizen Academy. This six-week program will allow residents to tour the Wyoming police department, tour patrol vehicles, and more!

🔹 Must be a Wyoming Resident - 18 years old +
🔹 Dates: April 23, April 30, May 7, May 14, May 21, and May 28.

Today the Feeding America Mobile Food Truck will be at WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL at 4:30 PM. This food resource is FREE and open to anyone who is in need of it.

This will be held in drive-thru style, please make sure you stay in your vehicle and follow the procedures.
Do not arrive before 3:00 PM. Distribution is available until 5:30 PM or until supplies last.

Again, today's free mobile food truck will be at WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL located at 1350 Prairie Parkway Wyoming.
