Wednesday’s Word – It is difficult to keep from being caught up in the influences of this world. It is, however, a necessary endeavor. Isaiah 8:11-13 says, “For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, 12 Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. 13 Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.” Don’t let society make you afraid to stand for the Lord Jesus Christ. More importantly, do not be shamed because you don’t get caught up in mainstream ideologies. Let God’s word guide you, not peer pressure.

Tuesday’s Truth – It’s never any telling what people might put their trust in. Psalms 20:7 says, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” Too many are comforted by their wealth, possessions, heritage, or any other thing that is irrelevant to God. The most important thing to the LORD is to have faith in Him. Trust God. When everything else crumbles, He won’t fail.

Monday’s Manna – What happens to our future when we reject God’s word? Isaiah 5:24 says, “Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.” The future is bleak for those who reject God’s word after having heard it or heard of it. Do yourself a favor by opening the book daily and obeying it.

Friday’s Faith – What is a quick way to bring down the WOES of God upon us? Isaiah 5:20-23 says, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! 22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: 23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!” Thinking and doing differently from what scripture says we should think and do will bring down God’s woes. The people of God are guided by the word of God which was given by His Spirit without change.

Thursday’s Thought – What is your spiritual IQ? Psalms 14:1 says, “To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” The world says just the opposite. The world calls us fools for believing in God. The day is coming when all fools will acknowledge that there is God. It is then that they will realize that they weren’t as smart as they assumed.
