Bishop Anatoliy GAVRILUK was a great friend and leader of the Body of Christ and the Charismatic Movement in Ukraine and throughout all of Eastern Europe. Led into the ministry under the influence and years-long guidance and support of his Overseeing Pastor, Bishop Dwayne Lusk, he grew rapidly from a committed member of a small fellowship of Christian believers in Kyiv into a strong, decisive leader of a powerful Church and leadership ministry in that city, which influenced the nations of Eastern Europe and beyond.
Today, churches and Christian Life Schools of Theology are scattered throughout Eastern Europe, Jerusalem, Viet Nam, Africa, and elsewhere, planted by members in diaspora of the ministry Bishop Anatoliy led. Converts to Christ number in the hundreds of thousands, and Christian's churches number in the thousands who trace their origins back to this man and his influence.
He and his wife Katya, their sons and daughters, have faithfully led thousands of believers, refusing to leave their beloved Ukraine, even though it has suffered through the war with Russia for the past five years. They, and ministries they founded or influenced, saved hundreds of lives by organizing the evacuation of Ukrainians from the war zone and removing them to neighboring countries for their safety.
This story, the story of the Apostolic ministry of Dr. Dwayne and Janice Lusk, and that of Anatoliy and Katya GAVRILUK, is one of missionary courage and commitment on a par with that of David Livingstone of Africa, William Carey of China, and Sam and Florence Sasser in Micronesia.
It is a story that must be told. I am calling upon the families of Dr. Dwayne and Dr. GAVRILUK to write and record this majestic story of love and courage as a Testimony to God's grace for the world to witness.
