In Acts 2, the first followers of Jesus were gathered together when something amazing happened! God sent the Holy Spirit, and they were empowered to share Jesus with boldness. As they shared, people heard them speaking in their own languages, and many people believed in and trusted Jesus that day. Preschoolers learned that sharing Jesus is exciting, and God can work through us in incredible ways, here and now!

Question to discuss this week!!
How can you share Jesus with your friends?

John pointed people to believe in Jesus as the Messiah. When
people believe in Jesus as the Messiah, they receive eternal life and can point others to believe in Jesus too!

Questions to discuss this week!!
Have you ever helped someone by telling them how to get to a certain place?
What did you do to help guide them in the right direction?
What can we learn from John?

Preschoolers are learning this month that God wants us to share Jesus with others. This week they will learn that sharing Jesus is worth it. In Matthew 13:1-23, Jesus told a story about a farmer sowing seed on different types of soil. While not all the seed grew, the seed sown on good soil grew and multiplied. We can know that when we share Jesus, not everyone will listen and believe (like the seed sown on the other types of soil). However, sharing Jesus is worth it because God is the One who can make a “seed” of faith grow in our lives.

Discussion Questions for this week!!
Why is Jesus worth it?
How can you share Jesus with your friends?

Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus reveals the Lord’s patience and
kindness toward us as we earnestly seek Him. Though Nicodemus had
heard Christ’s teachings, he had not yet placed faith in the true Ruler and
King of the Jews. But here in this chapter, he would learn what it means to
be born again.

Discussion Questions for this week:
Who do you usually go to when you need to ask a question? Why do you choose
this person?
What does it mean to be born again?

Here at Waterbrook we believe that God has a plan for your preschoolers, and part of that plan is to share Jesus with others! This week we are taught about how, after Jesus died on a cross and rose from the dead, He appeared to two disciples walking on a road to a place called Emmaus. The disciples did not recognize Jesus, but Jesus shared with them that all of Scripture pointed to God’s plan for the promised Savior to die for sins and come back to life. God’s plan also includes sharing the truth about Jesus with the world. We cannot wait for your preschoolers to learn about being part of God’s plan!

Question to discuss this week!
How has Jesus surprised you recently?
What has Jesus done for you?

Jesus’ cleaning of the temple reveals His holiness as the Messiah and His willingness to take on our sin so that we, too, may be cleansed. In this passage, Jesus demonstrated His desire to honor His Father and do His will—a foretaste of the lengths He would go to cleanse us of our sin when we trust Him by faith.

Questions to discuss this week!
How does it make you feel when you see someone doing something wrong? Have you ever confronted someone when you saw them doing something wrong?

This May we are teaching your preschoolers that God wants them to tell people about Jesus. Yes, them, and God wants all of us—from the smallest to the tallest—to share about Jesus here and now! The good news of who Jesus is and why He came is important and exciting. Sharing Jesus is God’s plan and always worth it. This week we are talking about a man named Paul who told about Jesus in many different places. In our Bible story from Acts 13–21, preschoolers will see that sharing Jesus is important and that God can work through us to help other people know, love, and follow Him. We will finish our month out with a special Hooray Day, where we will teach preschoolers that God leads us to have faith.

Question to discuss this week!!
Who can you tell the good news of Jesus to?
What can you do to allow God’s light to shine through you in their lives?

Jesus’ first miracle at the wedding in Cana reveals His power as the Messiah and His glory as the one and only Son of God. Jesus continued to draw people to Himself as He stepped into His public ministry, though He continued to move only in accordance with the will of His Father in heaven.

Questions to discuss this week!
Have you ever seen something amazing happen? How did you respond? Did you tell other people about what you saw?
