June is a gentle reminder that God is still creating new beginnings. New mercies. New growth. New opportunities to trust Him more deeply. “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning.” — Lamentations 3:22-23 🙌

No matter what last month held, God’s grace is already waiting for you here. May this new season bring peace to your mind, strength to your spirit, and renewed hope for the road ahead.

After the Ten Commandments, you start to feel the weight of it. Not just what God requires, but how far short you fall. Not just outwardly, but inwardly, where the Commandments press into what you fear, love, and trust. And if that’s where things stopped, Christianity wouldn’t be good news. It would just be a clearer way of showing you the problem.

But it doesn’t stop there. The Creed shifts the focus completely. Up to this point, the question has been what God requires of you. Now the question becomes what God has done for you. And that changes everything, because the Creed is not about your effort, your progress, or your ability to hold your life together. It is about God acting.

“I believe” is not you declaring your commitment. It is you confessing what is true, whether you feel it or not, whether your life reflects it perfectly or not. The Creed pulls you out of yourself and fixes your attention on what God has done and continues to do.

The Father creates and provides, not in theory but concretely, your life, your daily bread, everything you have. The Son redeems, not in general but personally. He has acted to save, to forgive, and to claim you. The Holy Spirit gives and sustains faith, not as a vague force, but through the Word, through the Church, through the forgiveness of sins.

This is not your story about reaching up to God. It is God’s work from beginning to end, for you. And after everything the Law exposes, the last thing you need is more pressure to fix yourself. You need something outside of you that does not shift when you do.

That is what the Creed gives you: not what you must become, but what God has already done and is still doing for you.

The only thing you truly carry into eternity is not your possessions, but the hearts you’ve nurtured.

Your children are not just to be raised, but to be guided toward Jesus. Teach them while you can, because what you sow in them today will echo far beyond this life. 💕

What if the most important moments of your day… aren’t the big ones? But the quiet ones no one sees. The tone in your voice. The patience you choose. The grace you give when it would be easier not to. 💜

“Love one another as I have loved you.” — John 13:34

At the end of the day, it’s not about what you accomplished... it’s about how you loved. So pause for a moment today… and gently ask yourself: Did I bring peace? Did I choose kindness? Did I reflect Him? Not with pressure... but with awareness. Because small, unseen moments of love are never wasted in God’s hands.

Before the world gets loud… before your thoughts start racing… there is an invitation waiting for you. To slow down. To breathe. To meet with God in the quiet. 🙏

He’s already holding everything this day will bring... you don’t have to carry it alone. Start your morning with Him, and you’ll walk into the day with a different kind of peace.

David was obviously no stranger to what it meant to be a good shepherd. When He penned one of the most beloved Psalms-Psalm 23- he knew exactly what he was doing when he called the Lord his personal shepherd. The Lord was not some far off God he had read or heard about. The Lord showed up in David’s life providing, protecting, and caring for him. David also knew he was similar to a sheep, depending wholeheartedly on the Lord for everything he needed.

Giving the Lord the role of the shepherd was not only a tender and personal calling from David, but it was also a prophesy over the Messiah who became our good Shepherd. (John 10:11) (John 10:14)

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for providing us with a good Shepherd in Jesus. We are grateful He leads us besides calm waters and restores our soul. No matter what deep valleys we find ourselves in or no matter how many times we face the adversary, our good Shepherd is always there with us, protecting and lovingly leading us back home. May we never take for granted how blessed we are to have Jesus as our personal Shepherd.

In Jesus’ name we pray, amen!

One Easter Sunday morning, a pastor came to the Church carrying a rusty, bent, old bird cage, and set it by the pulpit. Several eyebrows were raised and, as if in response, the pastor began to speak.
"I was walking through town yesterday when I saw a young boy coming toward me, swinging this bird cage. On the bottom of the cage were three little wild birds, shivering with cold and fright. I stopped the lad and asked, "What you got there son?"

"Just some old birds," came the reply.

"What are you gonna do with them?" I asked.

"Take 'em home and have fun with 'em. I'm gonna tease 'em and pull out their feathers to make 'em fight. I'm gonna have a real good time."

"But you'll get tired of those birds sooner or later. What will you do then?"

"Oh, I got some cats. They like birds. I'll take 'em to them."

The pastor was silent for a moment. "How much do you want for those birds, son?"

"Huh??!!! Why, you don't want them birds, mister. They're just plain old field birds. They don't sing - they ain't even pretty!"

"How much?"

The boy sized up the pastor as if he were crazy and said, "$10?".

The pastor reached in his pocket and took out a ten dollar bill. He placed it in the boy's hand. In a flash, the boy was gone.

The pastor picked up the cage and gently carried it to the end of the alley where there was a tree and a grassy spot. Setting the cage down, he opened the door, and by softly tapping the bars persuaded the birds out, setting them free.

Well, that explained the empty bird cage on the pulpit, and then the pastor began to tell this story.

One day Satan and Jesus were having a conversation. Satan had just come from the Garden of Eden, and he was gloating and boasting.

"Yes, sir, I just caught the world full of people down there. Set me a trap, used bait I knew they couldn't resist. Got 'em all!"

"What are you going to do with them?" Jesus asked.

"Oh, I'm gonna have fun! I'm gonna teach them how to marry and divorce each other. How to hate and abuse each other. How to drink and smoke and curse. How to invent guns and bombs and kill each other. I'm really gonna have fun!"

"And what will you do when you get done with them?", Jesus asked.

"Oh, I'll kill 'em."

"How much do you want for them?"

"Oh, you don't want those people. They ain't no good. Why, you take them and they'll just hate you. They'll spit on you, curse you and kill you!! You don't want those people!!"

"How much?"

Satan looked at Jesus and sneered, "All your tears, and all your blood." Jesus paid the price.

The pastor picked up the cage he opened the door and he walked from the pulpit.
Copied.

What happened on Resurrection Day?

After the completion of Passion Week comes the greatest day of them all: the day Jesus victoriously rose from the dead!

Early in the morning, the women went to the tomb to anoint the body of Jesus with their spices and perfumes. However, there was a large earthquake and the stone is rolled away by an angel. The guards are terrified and fall over like dead men. The angel tells the women to go tell the disciples that Jesus is risen.

Jesus appeared to many people that day, including 500 people at the same time. He appeared to Mary Magdalene, Peter and the disciples, along with His brother James and others. He even shows them His hands and His side to prove that He has risen from the dead. Even doubting Thomas falls on his knees and says "My Lord and my God" when seeing this evidence.

Now that Jesus has risen from the dead, we can have salvation in His name. Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, and He rose from the dead so that we can live again with Him. As Jesus proclaimed: "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, though he die, yet shall He live."

The Lord is risen, indeed!
