We had our Ash Wednesday Service tonight at the Wright City United Methodist Church, and we received our ashes for Lent. You won't be seeing me on Facebook during the Lenten Season, for I am giving up time that I spend on material things for Lent. Instead of spending a lot of time on material things, I'm going to read my Bible and do my exercises before I spend time on things that I do for pleasure. So this will be my last post on Facebook during Lent.

'THE LORD'S PRAYER' by The Roath Youth
Our father who lives in Heaven
Praise His name
God’s Kingdom is here and we will do His work on Earth and in Heaven.
Give us what we need each day,
Forgive our sins and help us forgive others who sin against us.
Lead us away from temptation and keep us from evil.
For you are the kingdom and power of all. Amen

Father who lives in Heaven
Very important is your name.
When you come back everything will be good, the same as earth and heaven.
Give us each day everything ( your blessing, good, shelter, protection forgiveness, love ).
Help us to forgive other people’s sin just like God forgives us.
Protect me from sin, (open my eyes and show me my way-out)
Direct me out of my sin.

‘Wright City United Methodist Youth Group’ preformed a wonderful Christmas Musical tonight! We are blessed by their talent, gifts and hearts❣️ We are also blessed by our amazing Music Teacher and Director Margie Mussett! Thanks for a great program!

You will find the blessing located on the Northwest corner of our lot facing Main Street. It is a two sided compartment with personal care items ( shampooo, soap,
' deodorant , toothpaste, toilet paper ; ) other sixe contains groceries. We encourage people to take items they have a need of. Also anyone that chooses to may donate items. We also plan to include a drop off for prayer request and to provide spiritually encouraging pamphlets', Upper Room publication. etc. We plan to get flyers up soon. We also have an article coming out in the paper . Feel free to tell others. We are hopeful that in some way these items can be of use to anyone who find themselves in need. SHARE PLEASE AND PRAYTHAT IN SOMEWAY WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH THIS OUTREACH.
