We are excited to announce that our facilities will now be operating as Stevens Creek-Wrens Campus. We believe that Pastor Marty and Patty Baker and the congregation of Stevens Creek have the same heart that HFWL has: to love Jesus Christ, to make disciples, and to serve our community.

This is not what we thought would happen, but God's plans are certainly higher than ours and we trust that this is what the Lord has planned. Holding Forth the Word of Life Ministry will still continue as a strictly media ministry run by Race and Hope Lariscy. We will continue Apostle Linda's legacy through her teachings as we believe Stevens Creek will continue on with her vision in Wrens.

We thank you for the support and your attendance over the years. We continue and will forever be a people who hold forth the word of life.

Our beloved Apostle, Linda Lariscy, went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2025 after a prolonged illness. We grieve in our souls but rejoice with her in spirit as she is at peace and full of joy with Jesus.

Rest assured, HFWL will continue as she and the Lord would have it. We hope to post more frequently now and will continue with our regularly scheduled content. We ask that you would join us in prayer for our house of faith as we grieve but also as we move toward the future. To God be the glory for Apostle Linda and for Holding Forth the Word of Life Ministry. Click below to read more about our Apostle.

We had a fun filled end of October and beginning of November! The fall bash, Red Ribbon Week, and field trip at Sara's Farm Adventure were all a success. As always, we are blessed to provide our kids with opportunities to have fun, express themselves, and be introduced to new experiences. We love them so much and are so thankful.

We want to give a big shoutout to our community during the recent events of Hurricane Helene. We came together to help our fellow brother and sister and in turn, were all lifted up. To God be the glory. We continue to pray for our community as well as western North Carolina and the other communities that were affected and still recovering.

Hope: God’s Balancing Act through Troubles

Hebrews 6:18-19 (NET)
…so that we who have found refuge in him may find strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us... 19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, sure and steadfast.

In a world often characterized by uncertainty and chaos, hope serves as our anchor, guiding us through turbulent waters. The idea of hope as an anchor is beautifully captured in Hebrews 6:19, which states, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” This imagery evokes a sense of stability and strength, reminding us that hope can provide refuge even in the most trying circumstances.

Hope is not mere wishful thinking; it’s a profound, confident expectation and trust in God. It embodies the belief that our circumstances can improve, that healing is possible, and that brighter days are ahead. Hope sustains us during difficult times, encouraging us to persevere when we feel like giving up.

As followers of Jesus, we anchor ourselves in expecting good things from the Lord. When we root ourselves in God’s word, we find a source of strength that transcends our immediate struggles. Faith reminds us that we are not alone; the Lord is with us in every circumstance. Hope teaches us that there is purpose behind our trials, and our journey through seasons of wilderness guarantees a promised land before us.

One of the most powerful aspects of hope is its ability to flourish within a community. Surrounding ourselves with individuals who share our beliefs can reinforce our sense of hope and provide the encouragement we need during tough times. When we witness others’ resilience, it inspires us to cultivate our own. Shared stories of overcoming adversity serve as reminders that we can endure and thrive together.

This is a message for YOU! Yes, the devil lies to us because he is the father of lies but we can lie to ourselves too! Jesus wants to save us to the uttermost and sometimes that means saving us from ourselves. Listen, be blessed, and BE FREE in Jesus' name!

Comfort in Community

Galatians 6:2 (AMP)
Carry one another’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the requirements of the law of Christ [that is, the law of Christian love.

In a world that often feels chaotic and uncertain, the search for comfort and solace becomes crucial. Whether it's the loss of a loved one, the stress of daily life, or the challenges of our modern age, we all experience times of sorrow and need. As Christians, one of the greatest sources of comfort is found within the Body of Christ—the community of believers who share our faith. Through fellowship, prayer, and encouragement, we can experience profound comfort that mirrors the love of Christ.

Moreover, in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, we find a powerful reminder of the source of our comfort: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction”. This scripture not only tells us that God comforts us but also highlights our role in comforting others. As we experience God’s embrace, we are to extend that embrace to those around us.

The comfort of the Body of Christ serves as a reminder that we are never ultimately alone in our struggles. We have each other and, more importantly, we have the assurance of God’s presence among us. As we navigate life’s challenges, let us remember to lean on one another, share our burdens, and pray for each other. Through the Body of Christ, we discover true comfort—a fellowship rooted in faith, love, and shared experience. May we continue to cultivate this community and extend the warmth of Christ’s love to those around us, fulfilling our calling to be a source of comfort as we ourselves have experienced comfort.
