During a parish retreat in the state of Guerrero, Mexico, a host began to “effuse a reddish substance” during the distribution of Holy Communion. Rigorous scientific testing revealed the substance was consistent with blood – complete with human DNA and hemoglobin – and the host had transformed into a tissue that, under a microscope, was identical to samples from living human hearts.⁣⁣
